Paul Rauch

Biography: Paul is an American soap opera producer and writer. He started working on daytime back in 1971, when he joined the crew of "Another World" as the Executive Producer, a job that he kept for over 12 years. During the WGA strike in 1981, Paul briefly wrote for the same show. Before leaving the show, Paul created a soap opera titled "Texas," and even served as the soap's executive producer from 1980 to 1981, but the soap didn't last long. In 1984, Rauch became the Executive Producer of "One Life to Live" and kept the spot until 1991. In 1988, during another WGA strike, he wrote for OLTL. In 1992, Rauch joined the crew of "Santa Barbara" and he was the final EP for the show because it was canceled and last aired early in 1993. After three years of absence, Rauch became the EP of "Guiding Light" in 1996, and kept the spot until 2003. In 2008, Rauch returned to daytime as a consultant for "The Young and the Restless," but was let go after only a few weeks.
