His 1990 domestic comedy, Modern Love was a family affair in that it costarred his wife, singer-actress Karla DeVito, and their children. The 1992 direct-to-video Invasion of Privacy a psychological thriller, cast him as an ex-con with a fixation on glamorous Jennifer O'Neill, and he was properly bloodcurdling. But his greatest triumph was as the (unrecognizable) voice of the Beast in Disney's animated Beauty and the Beast (1991), which has led to other cartoon assignments (including TV's "Exo-Squad") calling on his heretofore unsuspected vocal abilities.
