This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I got 12 minutes into it and had to turn it off. What part made me turn it off so soon? The part about the "hot blonde" telling the new girl "If a boy had been staring at me like that, I would've reported him for harassment." She then follows it up saying that because it was a girl doing the staring, she liked it. I'm not against LBQT+ themes by any means or I would've turned it off at the part about her having two dads, but I can't stomach this message of reporting someone for "staring". What happened to having a spine and asking/telling someone to stop? What if they weren't actually staring at a person or even a thing, but rather spaced out and lost in their thoughts? She could've used the "staring" as a means to open a conversation with "Was something on my face?" or "See anything you like?" But no, let's jump to man hating because she swings for other girls. Just bad/stupid writing and I don't even care to watch to find out if this hateful girl dies in the end. Giving it one star because it still FEELS like AHS, but even ignoring the part that made me roll my eyes it just feels like a repeat of the first season, and judging by what other reviews are saying, I'm not the only one who feels this way. It’s obviously not as stellar as the original American Horror Story series but it deserves its place in the AHS Universe.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Super disappointing. Story line was predictable and not very creative. It was the same basic concept of the original Murder House season. Whiney, bratty teenager that doesn't want to be there and over protective parents, family therapy, parent having an affair, instead of the "bad guy" (Evan Peters's "Tate Langdon") trying to woo the teenager there was there was the "bad girl" (Kaia Gerber's "Ruby") and there is no comparison of the two- Evan Peters is a FAR more talented actor than Kaia Gerber. Literally the same thing as the first season just condensed into 2 epsiodes. Kaia Gerber should stick to modeling, her character was boring and pointless. Her acting was very monotone and emotionless. I get that she was playing a psychopath but Evan Peters played a nearly identical character and knocked it out ot the park. Sierra McCormick was also boring, they should have gone more into her back story and the kidnapping instead of bringing in Kaia (however Kaia's mom probably paid for her to join the cast). Paris Jackson was surprisingly good, her character was also boring and predictable but she did act better than the other two. I thought she would be another talentless privileged kid of a celebrity who got in by having a famous parent but I think if her character wasn't so predictable she would have done very well. All in all it kind of lacked creativity and seemed thrown together. Big disappointment for fans waiting over a year for something new. If you've watched the first season skip these 2 episodes because they are an extreme disappointment in comparison. Poor acting and a copy cat storyline don't work well. Giving it a 1 star instead of a zero because I hope it gets better from here and AHS doesn't get cancelled. Expand

American Horror Stories has the same problems as most horror anthologies: It's hit or miss. Season 1 is mostly miss though.

Rubberwoman double episode was an attempt to combine the nostalgia of season 1 with a new flick. Sadly, it turned out to be more meh than anything else. If we get the option to rate the episodes separately, it would be a 6 at best. [6|10] Episode 3 is more of a standalone and a big improvement to the first story. It featured an original story and had a nice twist at the end along with some nice screentime of AHStory actors. [8|10] Episode 4 is an absolute mess to me. I dont know if this is a satire of the weird tik tok boys that exist on those "influencer house series" or if it was meant serious, but almost nothing of this was good. Danny Trejo tried his best as bad santa but could not safe this stuff. [4|10] Expand

The first season of this spin-off was passable. But this second season was terrible. The stories were fast and boring. Honestly only two episodes seemed relevant to me.

This series should be called "American Jokes Stories", because nothing is horror in these episodes.
