Season 4 Review: Cobra Kai’s overt nostalgia is of a simplistic dudebro variety, marked by Johnny’s neanderthal attitude and routine references to the likes of Rocky III, Bloodsport and Top Gun. Yet more objectionable is its regressive sitcom form, which reduces its comedy and romantic/familial/peer dilemmas to a fourth-grade level. For a season or two, that might have lent the show a quaint charm. At this point, however, it’s just a sign of everlasting immaturity. Read full review

An absolute masterpiece. This show is a hidden gem and deserves a lot more recognition than it’s gotten. The pacing is great, the acting and character interactions are phenomenal, there’s nothing I would change about this show! Definitely one of the best series I’ve ever seen

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Absolute best TV series today, writers pay attention to original 3 films and expand story, to the point where Cobra Kai is accepted as Canon and I cannot watch Karate Kid series without watching Cobra Kai after.

Thomas Ian Griffith stole the show in Season 4 as Terry Silver, only flaw was Miguel/Johnny needed more development and Miguel needs more scenes and interactions with other characters and more development that he got first 3 seasons.… Expand

I have to give it a full 10.
This Series makes so much different than others that it just stands out.
They acomplish to write about many Charakters and nobody is the typical good or evil one, it is just a point of View (how it is often in real Life). The Teenies are not as overwrittenI have to give it a full 10.

The Teenies are not as overwritten melodramatic as in other Series, they do not go on your nerves, you do not think it is a overfunded soap Opera.
The Fights ae well done!

Lets get the bad out of the way. The Johnny character looks like he can do some moves, but he is way slow. The Daniel characters still looks awkward doing any move above slow mo. While the misfit kids martial arts performances are ropey at best. That being said with the suspension ofLets get the bad out of the way. While the misfit kids martial arts performances are ropey at best. That being said with the suspension of disbelief fully engaged the family enjoyed season one and two. Caveman Johnny had some good comedy value and good drama value. He was and is the show for sure. Migual was a good supporting character. Hawk was fun in a over the top way. Nice to see Daniel back for sure. Bringing back another character in season two was icing on the cake for sure ( no spoilers ). Fun show will some feels, laughs and some really serious moments of life changing drama. If the show has an underlying moral message. With lethal power comes responsibility and don't lie and keep secrets from loved ones. Good message for kids for sure.

Oh boy on season four now and the show is just as much fun as all the other great three seasons. The way the writers incorporated the weaker films into the shows storyline is really well done. Daniel and Johnny even look like they can fight now. Or the fight scenes are now just better made. Not bad for fifty year old guys getting close to sixty. Yeah still lots of teen drama, but I am really here for the old guys from the films mostly.… Expand

Binge worthy character driven drama that makes you root for the underdog (without forgetting what a dog he is). Character evolution, and reversals aplenty add up to classic storytelling in tight half hour chapters.
