Season 1 Review: "Organized Crime" struggled to make itself a coherent TV show in its first episode, but it didn't fail to re-establish Stabler. And if Meloni is all the audience cares about, then "Organized Crime" might be enough. But besides its protagonist, "Organized Crime" doesn't have much going for it yet. If the series slows down greatly and establishes its supporting characters, it has a shot at greater success. Read full review

Season 1 Review: Meloni’s patented smile-stare — a singular mix of menace and smirk — is as effective as ever. And the action moved with a familiar “Law & Order” dispatch. Finally a new Law and Order worth sticking with. Mariska is and will always be the queen of the franchise but the SVU story-lines - typically watchable alternate social universe stuff - has been getting duller and patronizingly predictable in spite of the amazing cast. Case in point, the 10/14 episode. (Still luv u Liv - see you next week). Anyway, Christopher Meloni is the long-awaited reuniting of the L&W royal pair. Always one of my favorite actors, seeing him back, buff and badass is just what the doctor ordered for the franchise. The merging with SVU thru weekly crossovers is smart and compelling, strengthens the OC story line and breathes fresh life into SVU. After other failed spinoff attempts, I'll say bravo to this one.… Expand

Excellent series. This is a different type of Law & Order which is just what the franchise needed, especially when it revolves around Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson.
