In the mystery box challenge, the junior home cooks must craft desserts using natural sweeteners instead of sugar. The winner receives a sweet surprise and has his or hers signature recipe in Family Circle magazine.

The junior chefs split up into pairs and have to decorate and frost as many specialty as they can in just 10 minutes, all while being tied by the ankle to their partner.

The junior cooks are divided into two teams, to serve as cooks for room service. The losing team then faces the first pressure test - Risotto, after which the judges will decide which two of them will be sent home.

The junior cooks mystery box challenge - create a recipe for a national meal delivery service, the winner then selects one other cook to be safe and divides the remaining 10 cooks into teams of two for an Asian platter tag-team challenge.

The remaining home cooks create their own unique dishes but must use one common ingredient - chocolate. The winner will receive the first-ever Masterchef golden apron and the biggest advantage in series history.

The junior chefs cook for 30 Masterchef Junior alumni at a pop-up restaurant. The losing team will head back to the Masterchef kitchen for a pressure test designed by season 5 winner Jasmine Stewart.

The remaining home cooks prepare dishes inspired by their grandmothers.
