This is lush ludicrous stuff. Thank God it stays in Europe! It has holes you could fly an air bus through, and it took 4(5?) episodes before Ashley lost a fight with a younger male. Her game face gets tiring. We know Ashley you're a hockey mom on steroids. I just love the way the CIA gets to cavort through Europe guns blazing and no-one notices. I knew Sean Bean would re-emerge (he died in Game of Thrones) why else would he be there and why else would he tell his son to get out of the car and get the ball. If only they'd hired better writers.
This is extremely entertaining televsion. Does it have moments of silly dialog and unrealistic situations? Yes, absolutely. But is it a true 'page turner' with a compelling plot that will keep you wanting ****. I understand why some of the critics haven't given Missing great reviews, but I think that if viewers give it a chance, they will get addicted. I hope more people find this **** definitely start from episode 1.
While these [butt-kicking] scenes contain a certain intensity and exhilaration, you can't help but think that, had the writers of Missing devoted as much time to plot and character as they did to the fighting, they might have wound up with a much more enjoyable show.
The international settings are pretty and Judd does her damnedest with what she's got, but Missing's tough-mom role and poorly paced, unsuspenseful suspense scenes make the series hard to root for.
When you consider the crap the main line tv has thrown at us this year, this show is a gem. Along with Smash the best show of the year. I just love that it is set in Europe and it is now some sifi crap that will never happen.
After watching 2 episodes, I am hooked on this show. Ashley Judd always plays a terrific ass-kicking female, and the storyline is very interesting. I'm curious to see how they'll be able to keep this story interesting for a whole season, though. It almost feels like a movie, instead of a TV show.
This is what i would call a 1-season show. Now don't get me wrong i don't mean it's going to cancelled, what i mean is; The title is Missing and is all about a Mother trying to find her Son, I can't see how you can drag that out for 5 or 6 years and keep it focused on that. At some point their going to have to have her start working for the CIA again or something and solve their cases. There's nothing other than the mystery of "why" that would keep me watching. The action scenes are low quality, and everything in between isn't any better.
How come in all TV and Film with situations like this, the mother/father/etc is supposedly 'emotionally compromised' and shouldn't take on this task yet they still do and is still much better than everyone else involved? I can see how even though she's been out of the CIA for a good few years she would still be a skilled combatant but given that she's 'emotionally compromised' and everyone else involved has been in active service for the last few years I can't see how she doesn't get severely injured more often.
Oh wow - this is awful. The production values make you feel like you are watching a soap opera. With shows like Southland, Justified and even The Good Wife out there, you have to do a hell of a lot better than this to catch the attention of the modern viewing public. Missing is about as edgy as Murder She Wrote. Dire.
A Mom tries to find her missing son ! in Italy , pairs ......... boring , not thrilling at all !
heres what it should be ..... A Agent on a mission in Italy , pairs.... this is what we wanna see ... not some MoM with Gangster drama !
