Some of this is schematic, to be sure, but it grows more organic as it goes along, helped by a strong cast.
Kargman’s intimate knowledge of this elite universe always feels grounded in first-hand experience, and the laughs are frequent and genuine.

I am six episodes into this series and it is hilarious! It should be getting stronger reviews. Sadly, men will likely avoid and some may miss it by an expectation of what a scripted comedy might be like from Bravo. This comedy defies expectations. It is sharp, biting, hysterical, and the antithesis of the housewife reality shows that plague the channel. Imagine "Arrested Development" mixed with "Mean Girls" and that will give you an idea. I am picky about comedies. This one has me laughing out loud a lot.

SEASON 1
There's substance in Jill with hubby Andy and with her doctor best friend (comic KK Glick, a Huntington native), all proving levelheaded and likable. That helps leaven the snooty stereotypes of our initial path into Jill's world.
Odd Mom Out definitely will not be relatable or entertaining to everyone, but for viewers who enjoy Bravo’s other shows about the uber-wealthy, it’s a canny fit.
Odd Mom Out is uneven but ultimately likable, and Kargman and Buckley have a nice chemistry as husband and wife.
For all its cleverness, there’s a danger that Odd Mom Out has too narrow a focus, even for fans of “Real Housewives” shows. But in small doses, it’s funny enough.
Kargman sells the bewilderment and exasperation well enough, but the series is as slim as its size-zero dresses. Moreover, there’s precious little sense of irony evident in a program that satirizes ostentatious displays of fabulousness on a channel that wallows in them elsewhere.
Odd Mom Out is a wickedly clever mediocre version of the "Real Housewives" but it's based on Jill Kargman's life events. The show's message about fitting in is confusing, it's sending some weird vibes to it's viewers, like why does the main character want to fit in with the wealthy ****? Speaking of which almost every character is a wealthy snob **** that is rich or blonde house wives that are stereotypical. We want to root for the main character to fit in but the show makes her the bad guy, so whats the point. Grade C+

Painfully unfunny. Insufferable main character. Zero chemistry or believability they she is married to her husband. There is literally nothing funny about this because it tries way too hard to be funny and fails. It's a goth mom whose not fit to be a mom frankly but her behaviour isn't funny or quirky or against the norm it's just down right stupid and annoying. Don't watch this. It's such a waste of time. And no I'm not a man who is hating on a feminist show like someone else commented. I'm a female who finds this idiotic.

I watched two episodes. Not worth my time. Is really stupid and boring. This "feminist" type of show which tends to say "it´s ok to be inappropriate even if you are mom"... I can't believe "Critics" give 6.2 score...
