The relative success of this show, pitched in a way that staves off its more destructive impulses, is a testament to how well everyone involved manages to play along. Maybe it’s a show that’s still trying too hard at points, but it’s easy to imagine that fans of “Outer Banks” watching Season 2 will find much of what they’re searching for.
If you are looking for a breezy teen-focused series that brings good drama, the compass does not point this way. If you want guns, FBI raids, endless screaming, kidnapping, psychopathic family members, and murderous intentions at every turn… well, you’re getting closer.
The second season leaves something to be desired but improves over time. Let's start with the negative, in this second season the script is very rushed and often forced to do unrealistic things. Example of the bad script: [3° EP] The trio is filming their conversation about a weapon that was used in the previous season, so the Then Ward Cameron is looking for the gun in the manhole but suddenly Kyara (who was hiding) starts screaming at him... Why? Because they wanted the trio to be impeached by **** the reason is ridiculous. What makes me the most furious about this season is that here if you die... It won't matter much to the characters.Imagine you a father, losing your daughter, how would you be? Everyone reacts to death differently but reacting the way the Outer Banks characters feel, it's sad, it's ugly lol. Put screenwriters, it makes Sarah's sister more sad. Chat GPT would make this reaction better. Anyway, the script has several holes that leave the story very broken. But that can be compensated with good advanture and the good actors and that's a positive point. There are some new actors/characters, which make the story very captivating (I agree with Sarah's actress, but she's pretty so that's ok) But the actor who carries the series on his back is... RAFE he is madly good and bad in the series. He plays his role better than anyone in the series, congratulations. Finally, if you want to see Outer let's go season 2, start from the 4th episode, after that it maintains the quality of the previous season.
