Person of Interest is at its best when sticking to cutting-edge topics, be it Root's philosophical extremes or ethical discussions of surveillance (as in "Nothing to Hide," which introduces a group of privacy-seeking terrorists), and in demonstrating the limitations between what the Machine can accomplish on its own (hacking just about anything) and what only someone like Shaw can manage (infiltrating a trophy wife's boozy bookclub).
The best season of the show and one of the best shows currently on television. This season has a lot of more of the story-arc episodes and less on the poi episodes. That means the show was a lot more interesting and they are just better episodes. The new villains on this show are great like always and they have a lot of build up. The story of the overall season was excellent like always. The acting is really good and so is the character developments. The plot can drastically change with the events in an episode. The music is still amazing and it is perfectly placed. This season got a lot bigger and it had a game changer in the beginning of the season. The show is prefect with the news of today and that makes it fact, not science fiction. All of this is happening in our lives right now. The action/twists, etc are exciting and the season is more unpredictable than ever. The ending was phenomenal and it puts our antagonists against a threat that seems unbeatable. They are put into a situation like never before. I can't wait for season 4.
Season 3 really took the show to another level. You got the end of the HR arc with the show's arguably best episode, The Devil's Share, and it immediately launched into the next fantastic serial arc involving Samaritan and Decima. Never has the show been better.
By the way, not sure why Metacritic is missing reviews - Aside from the one they have, I know IGN gave Season 3 a 9.4 and the AV Club gave it an A-; those should be added to the aggregation.
S1 was good, S2 better and S3 off the charts. This season gave a entirely different meaning to what gray characters mean. Empires collapsed, Loss&Pain magnified and all **** went to hell. Ask anyone whoever watched the season finale, they are dying to watch Season 4.
season 3 is the best thank uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuyouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Season 3 start solid with "Liberty"(3x01) and "Nothing To Hide"(3x02), but after that "Lady Killer"(3x03) show the real potential of this season. Maybe "Reasonable Doubt" (3x04)is not the best of the show, but "Razgovor" (3x05) bring the full potential of POI with great acting and writing. Season 1 was great, Season 2 was fantastic and now season 3 have a chance to surpass both previous seasons.
Big improvement from last season. Each episode leaves you wanting more and thus far, I really like the return to what made the show great in season one. Continues to be an interesting look at the current society we live in.
