My initial distrust turned to begrudging appreciation, and ultimately, admiration.
-
Filled with people who really know their anatomy and can parse a couple’s problems at 50 paces, break down their defences at 20 and get them healthily rebuilt, all without breaking a sweat. This is partly because they are intelligent and emotionally literate human beings, and partly because the problems they are dealing with are – at heart – wonderfully simple. ... These six episodes might be the most – not to say the only – truly valuable thing Goop has ever done.

This endeavor feels a lot like going with your friends to a sex therapy session (and I mean that in the best way possible). The casting here is really what makes the series such a winner; each couple has a compelling, relatable backstory.
-
Paltrow is a curious and empathetic host on “Sex, Love & Goop,” evincing genuine care for the four or so couples — mostly but not entirely straight — undergoing multi-episode therapies with professionals for their unsatisfying or negligible sex lives. ... But Paltrow’s language of innovation and intervention ultimately ended up giving me some pause — as if sexual optimization always requires third-party observers, who presumably come with the kinds of price tags we associate with Goop.
-
Put simply, it’s like watching your most normal neighbors attend sex therapy.

Oct 28, 2021This show should be illegal. It's straight up promoting false medical treatments to dumb people that could kill them. Gwyneth Paltrow for prison 2021!
