This is one of my favorite seasons of The Flash.
The looming, overreaching dire threat is loosened a bit resulting in a lot more focus on the characters, all a fun bunch. (They do something different with the main threat here and it's a nice change of pace.) Sure, there are the threats of the week, but the characters get more room to breather.
The female cast in particular gets more to do. There's more emphasis on Iris' web magazine than ever before. Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) who started off as just a minor recurring character for plot necessity, as originally the D.A., really has become a bright part of the core team. The show finally places emphasis on Caitlin's alternate personality Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker). For the last couple seasons we were given the concept of Frost being a completely different person, but got to see so little of her or understand her since she only seemed to pop out when combat was required.
Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man gets to more to do this season than the last, which is a real treat as he works well with everyone. We also get a few new faces that work well.
The only character who didn't work this season was Dr. Ramsy Rosso (Sendhil Ramamurthy), whose character should've worked in theory but his dialogue and choices don't feel natural.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 filming couldn't be completed. So don't expect the self-contained seasonal story we usually get.
Overall, I recommend this. It feels more fun than some seasons.
Season 6 was a fun ride, that's really all i have to say, but the first half was definitely stronger than the second half, First half 8.5/10
Second half 4/10
