The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy is actually very much its own beast. It's the rare show that knows exactly what it's supposed to be from the get-go. Just one episode in, you'll feel like you've been watching this show for years, and that's because the world-building is very organic without the overwhelming exposition or information overload that can often wobble sci-fi pilots like this before the writers find their groove.
The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy throws viewers into a strange and exciting cosmic world with oddities at every turn. Though the episodes take on several subplots and medical cases, the overarching storyline with the deadly parasite is very interesting and will encourage viewers to follow Dr. Sleech and Dr. Klak on their research.
The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy is a charming mix of genres and tones that borrows from the best while still feeling like something new.
It’s nowhere near as emotionally powerful as BoJack Horseman could be and hasn’t hit the comedic heights of the best Rick and Morty episodes, but fans of those cartoons will be right at home here.
Much like a little brain parasite with big potential, it feels like The Second Best Hospital In The Galaxy has earned its right to keep growing.
