Clearly inspired by “Sunderland til I die” which Rob McElhenney binge watched during the pandemic lockdown, but this show is superlative in many ways, the Hollywood twist, the fact it’s a Welsh club plying it’s trade in the 5th tier ofClearly inspired by “Sunderland til I die” which Rob McElhenney binge watched during the pandemic lockdown, but this show is superlative in many ways, the Hollywood twist, the fact it’s a Welsh club plying it’s trade in the 5th tier of English league football, the large focus on the community rather than the football itself with the two Hollywood stars natural charm & humour acting as a perfect antidote to the grittier reality of log suffering locals yearning to return to the football league of which they have not been part of for 15 years, can Rob & Ryan help them do the seemingly impossible?
