Nitronic Rush is free. If you like a unique, challenging racing game, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn't download it. In due time, development studios, publishers, and gamers alike will be keeping an eye on these young gun developers.
Another game by the upcoming developers at DigiPen!!!!! Well Done!!!!! This game, with its Tronesque environment and its arcade style racing, made this game ABSOLUTELY fun to play with. It adds a few twists by overamplifying its gravity bending stunts, unexpected and dangerous obstacles, and a well created mini story mode and hardcore mode. I spent a few hours trying to complete hardcore mode and I must say that it is extremely challenging. The controls could have been done better but with what these amateurs have done, it can be excused. I have been following these developers and they are creating a new game called Distance which is a sequel to this game. I have already bought it and it is MUCH better than this one. It is nice to see that they are improving. If you like this game, you should check the new one they made. Good Luck and Good Racing!!!!!
It is simply awesome. Retro-Style game with funny moves and challenges.
Its an Singleplayer game but there is an global ranking you can play vs ghosts from other players and beat their best time
Simply download and play - no registration needed.
An extremely impressive racing game considering the fact that it was a student project made by a team of six and that it's completely free without any form of currency. The gameplay is fast and frantic and is a blast overall. Plus, you get a story mode, hardcore mode, user created levels, and a stunt mode, which really increases the replayability. All of the levels in each mode have leaderboards and it's fun chasing high scores. Last of all, there's 6 cars in the game. It doesn't seem like much, but most of the cars are unique and provide a different experience.

This is a guideline for how to properly review games. Many reviewers like to get a “feel” for a game, and arbitrarily give a game a score that they believe it deserves. This results in wildly different scores between different reviewers, and vastly different scores between similar games. This guideline addresses these problems and scores games fairly and consistently. This guideline also gives scores that are usually similar to the metacritic score.
The review score is based out of 10 points. There are no “half” or 0.5 increments. It is impossible to have a score above 10 or below 0. The review score will change as the game gets new dlc, drops in price, or if more secrets are found through the game increasing its appeal.
The scoring is split into 6 sections. The first five sections can add a possible 2 points to the final score. The first 5 sections are Single Player/Multi Player, Gameplay, Visuals/Story, Accessibility/Longevity, and Pricing.
Notice that 3 of these sections have two parts. These particular sections will be scored based on the stronger part of the game of the two. For example, **** has a lousy single player campaign, but an excellent multiplayer component, that section will be based solely on the multiplayer as if the single player did not exist. This allows games to be based on their own merits, as many unnecessary features are shoehorned into video games by publishers to reach a “feature quota”. Games that excel in both areas of a section don’t receive should be noted in the written review, but cannot increase the score past 2 in that section. However, it can be taken into account in the final section
The final section can add 1, add 0, or subtract 1 to the final score. This final section is the “wildcard” section. This section is for how the reviewer “feels” about the game, but limits this only to this section, rather than the entire 10 point review. This section can include any positive or negative point that was not covered in the previous 5 sections.
For being free, it's quite a fun game. You get to listen to some awesome tunes as well. There's really no reason why you would not be compelled to download it. Pick up the soundtrack while you're at it.
College is a fresh time for people. You experience self reliance, socializing with the real world, and you practice for your career of choice. These students at DigiPen IT have done more than practice. They have practically begun their careers. Because you don't create a game this immersive and cool by just practicing.
This game is an arcade racing game combined with a skateboarding game. The object is to race your car through the track and reach the end terminal, while avoiding obstacles and keeping from careening into the endless abyss. While doing that, you are also rocketing off ramps to do amazing flips and turns. The game is best played with an Xbox 360 controller plugged into your PC. You use the left analog stick to turn your car and the right analog stick to make your car roll and flip, and you can see rockets on your car activate when you do a roll. You can also turn on your boost, hop over things, and even turn into a plane. The turning is tight and responsive, and doing tricks is a lot of fun, although holding down the right trigger to accelerate can get uncomfortable.
I feel like I'm in the world of TRON: Legacy in the game. The graphics look amazing, with multicolored lighting effects, amazing scenery, and some awesome explosion and laser effects. The game is a visual stunner.
I'm a big fan of techno music, and the soundtrack is amazing. It fits the atmosphere perfectly, and just makes me want to dance! The game's announcer has a great sense of humor with phrases like "weaksauce", "better than sliced bread", among others. They'll make you giggle.
If I have anything bad to say about this game, then it's that the story mode is short and generic, and the later levels can be frustrating. But don't let that hold you back at all. This is an amazing game, and will wow anyone who decides to download it. And by the way, it's free, which makes this game a must-own for any PC gamer.
This game is for players Who likes games like Trackmania. It has a lot of original ideas. Environment is similiar with Tron and soundtrack too, btw: soundtrack is great. Driving model is very likeable. The developers just had to make more tracks and cars. There are only 3 cars in this game if I remember.
SummaryNitronic Rush is an experimental survival driving game. Using the car's many abilities (including boost, wings, and jump), avoid obstacles that the city throws at you. In many ways the game is a tribute to racing games of the 1990s but with fresh graphics, audio, and gameplay.
