  • Summary: Players take on the role of the characters from the Speed Racer film, getting behind the wheels of each character’s signature vehicles to experience first hand the film’s high adrenaline, combative racing style. The car-fu style of action within the game closely represent the action style dle designed by the Wachowski brothers for the film itself as they lend direction and assets to the development team directly from their Berlin set. Written and directed by the Wachowski brothers and produced by Joel Silver, Speed Racer is based on the classic series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida. Speed Racer follows the young race car driver Speed in his quest for glory on and off the track in his thundering Mach 5.     All up though, Speed Racer is colourful, funny, has good music and the graphics still hold up on the aging PS2. In fact, I would go so far as to say Speed Racer makes a much better game than it does a movie.

    Best futuristic racing I have ever played. Original concepts. loop the loop is mad and also the huge vertical jumps and lots of speed boosts on the track. The tracks are colourful and the graphics are good. The controls are spot on and the game has tons of gameplay to keep you playing till the wee hours in the morning. Good music Fantastic game a must buy and a bargain at just $20.… Expand
