Sure, its plot is beyond far-fetched (I do not think agents in the field halt their operations to take calls from their clueless fiancés), but the various prison breaks and assorted capers are sharply edited together and clever. Alongside that, the comedy works, too, largely due to the terrific supporting cast.
There's nothing offensively terrible about FUBAR; it just needed its story to be much more focused than what it ended up being. However, even at its weakest moments, it has heart, and Schwarzenegger and Barbaro make for a great leading duo.

I have waited so long for something like this. Schwarzenegger is beautifully cast. There is lightness, humour and presence - instead of rushing through super fast paced action with a narrative driven by shock and conflict, the characters find themselves faced with action, horror and human ordeals. Shocking things happen and things do move fast but there's time to be present with everything going on. My nervous system can finally cope. This is seriously addictive watching. Because there's time to be present, the impact is amplified for every surprise. You can put yourself fully in the picture. Love this, so grateful. When can we have more please.

Truly enjoyable. Funny, well filmed and entertaining BREATH IF FRESH AIR on Netflix. I’m so tired of all the dark trash on Netflix over and over again, or copy paste comedy. This show is a throwback to when shows and movies were fun and entertaining. Highly recommend

Schwarzenegger’s enthusiasm has an electric effect on what would otherwise be a moribund action-thriller.
Marking the star’s series debut, it’s a slim idea stretched over eight parts (and possibly more), and with apologies to its military acronym, feels fouled up in mostly recognizable ways.
The cast really tries to deliver, but they can’t escape the consistently poor material that’s just so out of date, boring, and predictable that they simply don’t stand a chance.
“FUBAR” is a violent, virtually laugh-free disaster filled with cheap sexual humor, standard-issue action sequences and paper-thin characters. Get to the chopper and flee this one instantly.
By its third episode, FUBAR is already skipping like a horribly scratched record, having its two leads rehash their bedrock gripes to brain-numbingly unrewarding ends. .... There’s plenty of action in FUBAR, but it’s of an amateurish sort, and lowlighted by the show’s directors shooting and cutting around the fact that the 75-year-old Schwarzenegger doesn’t move like he used to—or, for that matter, much at all. .... Without Schwarzenegger’s participation, FUBAR wouldn’t exist.
Very much enjoyable, with many laughs and actionpacked through out, I binge watched this it was this good

Honestly the biggest problem with this show was it was just boring. It seemed to progress at a snail's pace. I actually found the supporting cast more interesting to watch than Arnold. He's kinda just phoning it in; coasting along with the sort of character he's always been expected to play.

The production quality is high with detailed action sequences and a fairly high visual effects budget. The writing is sadly very limited with 2 dimensional characters who are seemingly driven by their mutual dislike of each other and a bare bones spy operative plot the likes of which we have seen oh so many times before. The writing doesn't take itself seriously enough to have a dramatic impact or light hearted enough to be as fun as it seemed to want to be. Its actually more like a 5/10 but just because of the additional Arnold hype I'm gonna round this down to a 2/10. Couldn't make it past episode 1.

I was liking this show till every episode turned political, and all you hear is how much Arnold is a Republican and still loves trump:(
