Had a LOT of fun with this game when i was 7. Levels were fun, pleasing, and well-made. Nothing really bad about this game that I can remember,

Fantastic entry in the lego series, more focused on action and varied levels.
After 40 hours spent in Lego Marvel, i was happy to see that this new lego title takes another route focusing shorter more action packed levels !
Still the classic lego puzzles and collectables, but much less tedious collecting 100% of the stuff.
As usual , legendary local coop. a game for everyone.

This is a good example of what a standard LEGO game should be. It has a fun story, since it is based on the LEGO Movie obviously, but I would like to see a little more creativity. The level design is perfect, and usually this applies to every LEGO game. One problem I have with the game is that after completing the story and free play there isn't much more to do and can get boring after that. But nevertheless, it is a very good game and I would strongly recommend playing it if you haven't already.

This is one of the best Lego game's i have ever played its almost flawless, my rating might change later,but overall its worth the money. I recommend this game its fantastic. Plus if your truly into legos most of the stores throw in legos.Perfect game for everyone.

I'm a big fan of the Lego series of games, but this felt more like an action packed shoot 'em up. I've only played a few levels for now as it became exhausting with the constant fighting. It's all a matter of opinion, of course, but mine is that I'm not overly impressed with the gameplay but will probably still play it through.

i love Lego videogames, and I loved the Lego movie, so when I heard that the Lego movie was going to get a videogame, I thought that it would be like bread and butter. The result though, was a half-assed game that is practically begging for the player to complete it.
The game follows the same plot as the movie: emmet, a normal man in the city, is chosen to fulfill a prophecy and save the world from lord business, teaming up with characters like gandalf, batman, superman, Shaquille o'neil, and Milhouse. This concept worked amazingly in the actual film, and for the most part, does here too. The cutscenes are actually clips from the film, but heavily edited, with a majority of the funny parts cut out. The levels are extremely formulaic, and a lot are boring. instead of action, we are solving puzzles that are so easy, even chimpanzees could solve them.
If you've ever played a recent Lego game, you know that the open world and levels are filled with many collectibles and characters to find. But nope, not in Lego movie. We have 5 minikits per level. We have 70 gold bricks to find. SEVENTY!!!!! Compare that weak number to the outstanding 250 that Lego marvel super heroes had. And the characters, they aren't even unlocked by finding tokens, or something, instead you just have the option to buy them after the game tells you. By the time the story is finished, you can buy all the characters. Also, the open world is so small I don't even understand why it's there.
The graphics leave a lot to be desired. They don't look as good as most other Lego games, and this is next generation! Lego hobbit looks better, and they both came out the same year. In the actual game, the characters aren't voiced by the actual actors, yet people doing impressions. To their credit though, their impressions of people like Chris Pratt, will ferrel, and Morgan freeman aren't that bad. Finally, the characters aren't that interesting. Their powers are so bland, and their aren't that many characters. A lot of them are just wastes of space. (There's like, 15 versions of emmet.)
If other Movie based Lego games worked so well, why not this one? 4/10
