you cant say forza horizon or dirt. forza horizon is incomparable with this **** this game is dirt. isnt forza its dirt and dirt isnt very very good game!i just good game
This is more realistic MotorStorm game. Split screen multiplayer performance for PS4 is fantastic. If you love split screen games this is the best sim/arcade racing game for 8th and 9th generation consoles. Cherry on the top is changing time of the day, and weather features.
It was very fun to play 4 player split screen, set about 20 laps, 12 cars, starting race from dawn and finishing it at night. Controls are perfect mix between sim and arcade, invite friends and have a blast.
Racing game without split screen is not a racing game. Buy it now! Dirt 5 rules!
Not often these days I end up playing the game late in the night and looking forward to the next morning to play again. Above all, it's a pile of fun. Even the career mode is not a chore, as these usually are in racing games.
I really love Dirt 5, and the more you play it, the more you appreciate the true scale of the game. A huge variety of locations and cars. The weather effects are tremendous.
Yes, this is an arcade racer. Those who prefer sim/arcade or sim might not like this. I love my sims like Dirt Rally 2.0, GT Sport etc, but I've been looking for a good arcade racer, and this is the one that fits my needs. Among others, Motorstorm fans will love this.
Graphics: seen a lot of comments about this, but there are very good. Not up to Forza 4 standards, but definitely on a high standard.
The collision detection is perfect for close and fair online racing. You can't just barge through a corner and puts everyone of course. The cars remain somewhat planted, a bit off course, but another player can't nudge you out of the game. Already played some very exciting online races.
The current online options are very basic but Codemasters has promised to upgrade these.
Time trials: if you love time trials, this is the game to play. A huge amount of track/car combos where you can compare your times to global players an friends.
Hope to see you on the track!
Pretty fun racing game for 2 players, but aside from that, it doesn't offer anything great. Driving model/physics can sometimes be pretty unpredictible
Okay arcade racer, but the wheels really bug me... they are completely fake looking circles that are perfectly parallel and do not emulate real wheels. In general, this is truly a step back visually compared to Driveclub.
The lack of rally races is a disgrace to the Dirt name.
PS4 Pro's performance options have frame drops and stutters in some tracks, so the real questions I have are "Was this game optimized for PS4 Pro?" &/or "What was the purpose of a performance mode if it is sub-optimal?"
Anyway, beg for remasters of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit -> Need For Speed Underground 2 for "good" arcade racing experiences.
Dirt 5 is a disgusting game, 4 out of 10. Disgustingly done intro. For me, basically, the most disgusting cacophony that cannot be called music. 100500 similar races so what? Strong artificial tightening, which is further increased by DLC. Poor optimization on PS4 slim - frequent FPS drops. The garbage atmosphere of the festival. Useless chatter of some people - podcasts. Disgusting physics during accidents - once I tumbled for 15-20 seconds on the roofs of rivals. Bad physics for arcade racing.
Of the good - beautiful graphics, more beautiful than the same Driveclub and more technical. Although the rain is worse, it's not bad either. Licensed cars. Interesting and beautiful tracks. Some good music.
