Adorei o jogo, acho que uma das melhores mecânicas de combate que eu já joguei, a história é sensacional e os gráficos são lindos demais, amei cada passo desse game e queria que tivesse uma continuação, muito bom
Played first playthrough on dismemberment mode.
This mode had the perfect balance of bullets and batteries drop loot rates.
I think this game is meant to be played on that mode, cause i had soo much fan and rarely had to resort to melle attacks.
All the weapons were so powerful and effective
AND THE GODDAMN GRAPHICS ARE PERFECT !!
10/10 ( recommend on dismemberment mode I havent played the other modes ! )
The game is fine, but please just play Dead Space. If you're planning on playing both, then play this one first. Otherwise, you're gonna be wishing you were playing Dead Space instead, throughout the whole playthrough.
This game is actually good, but barely. It does do its thing right but falls short in others as well. Like enemy variety is really small. Theres only like 2 bosses or maybe 3, In the entire game. Weapon variety is pretty lacking as well but offers some good options atleast. I would say the good thing this game has is its graphics and gore which is its best part. The story is overall pretty generic. Overall it is just a good game but lacks creativity.
When I first learnt about The Callisto Protocol and the fact that it was being helmed by the creators of the original Dead Space - one of the greatest survival horror games of all time AND one of my absolute favourite games of all time - I couldn't help but become very hyped about the upcoming new survival horror IP that promised to deliver something truly great. Never could I have anticipated that this game would go spectacularly down in flames as one of the absolute worst games of 2022.
Despite all the fantastic trailers that showcased The Callisto Protocol's rock solid graphics and art design, the actual graphics and performance of the game is unapologetically atrocious. I barely got an hour into the game before the game crashed. That's not even mentioning the fact that the framerate dropped phenomenally during the first combat encounter. This is all in consideration of the fact that The Callisto Protocol is strictly a linear game and has only one job to do - to transition the player down a series of corridors and rooms that don't facilitate a great deal of exploration.
As for gameplay, The Callisto Protocol is superbly underwhelming in every sense of the word. Combat is simply deplorable as it relies on melee weaponry and an overly simplified, yet ineffective dodge system that doesn't even work properly. Exploration is non-existent. The layout of most levels is dull and sequential. For example, my progress after two hours was gated by the placement of an infuriating lunge monster that leeched my health and as I was out of healing items, I simply couldn't progress any further. By the way, I was also playing on the easiest difficulty setting.
Why anyone would play The Callisto Protocol through to completion is beyond me. The game is a colossal failure in every sense of the term. There's simply no enjoyment to be had, just endless amounts of disappointment at the prospect of what could've been. It really saddened me deeply that this game failed so badly. From it's abysmal narrative, it's atrocious technical performance, and lastly it's questionable linear design which stripped it of any great potential, The Callisto Protocol represents a blemish on a year that saw standout titles like God of War: Ragnarok and Elden Ring rise to prominence amidst a plethora of other games that defined 2022 as one the best years for videogames.
The Callisto Protocol, though heavily anticipated, proves to be a resounding disappointment, demonstrating a stark misalignment with contemporary gaming standards. From the outset, it's evident that the game is not just a throwback to older styles but a rather lackluster attempt that falls short in several key **** story, a pivotal element for any horror game, fails to captivate or engage players. The narrative unfolds with a sense of predictability, lacking the depth or originality needed to immerse players in its world. Characters lack the complexity required for emotional investment, and the plot struggles to break free from generic horror tropes, resulting in an experience that fails to leave a lasting **** level design exacerbates the overall sense of disappointment. The game opts for a linear and uninspired approach, forsaking the potential for intricate, open environments that could enhance the horror experience. Instead, players find themselves navigating through tedious corridors and unimaginative spaces, contributing to a lackluster atmosphere. The environments, touted to be ghastly, fall short of delivering a truly haunting experience, often feeling contrived and artificial.Gameplay, a crucial component in any horror title, proves to be clunky and outdated. The mechanics lack the fluidity and responsiveness expected in contemporary games, making every interaction feel cumbersome. The overall experience feels like a relic from a bygone era, struggling to keep pace with the advancements seen in modern horror games. The result is an unsatisfying and frustrating gameplay experience that fails to hold up against its **** Callisto Protocol's failure is compounded by its inability to evolve beyond antiquated gameplay norms. The horror genre has seen significant innovation in recent years, with titles that push boundaries and redefine the player experience. Unfortunately, Callisto Protocol seems to have missed this memo, opting for an approach that feels regressive rather than **** conclusion, The Callisto Protocol emerges as a game that not only fails to meet contemporary standards but also falters in comparison to older titles in the horror genre. The disappointing story, linear and uninspired level design, and clunky gameplay collectively contribute to an underwhelming experience. Rather than presenting a fresh take on horror, The Callisto Protocol feels like a relic of the past, ultimately leaving players yearning for the innovation and quality that define successful entries in the genre.
