Introducing Cubic Ninja, the Nintendo 3DS title that lets you play without ever touching a button. Simply tilt and turn your Nintendo 3DS to solve challenging puzzles, outwit devious enemies, and escape intricate traps.

Cubic Ninja places you in the role of CC, a brave little ninja with a distinctly cubic shape. The princess of your beloved kingdom plus a few of your ninja friends -- has been abducted. And its up to you to save them. To do so, you must tilt and turn your way through over 100 eye-opening levels, defeating adversaries such as Woofbot, Scorchbot, and more. From gravity distortions to raging infernos to elemental forces of wind and water, your enemies will do whatever it takes to stop you.

But you wont be stopped. If you have to tumble till youre dizzy, or survive raging waters just to rescue the princess, then you will. Because youre Cubic Ninja. And thats how you roll.

A short but quirky little game having a personality crisis. It's fun while it lasts. [July 2011, p.80]

It is a creative 3DS game. You control the tiny ninja by using the gyrosensor in the 3DS. That is pretty creative, but a iPad or iPhone has also a gyrosensor, so why has Cubic Ninja been published on the 3DS? There is no real use of the buttons or the 3D effect.

There are glimpses of really good times in Cubic Ninja but it's far too restrained to let those promises run free. Between the high price tag, cumbersome controls, middling stage design and strangled communication features, there are simply too many barriers to portable shinobi bliss.

Cubic Ninja tilts towards the bargain bin with awkward controls and maddeningly silly level design.

If it was released as an eShop title and had greater care taken to the controls, then it would be a much more worthwhile purchase, but as it stands there isn't enough variety or polish on offer in Cubic Ninja.

It's relatively original but this unusual puzzler does nothing to justify more than the 59p it should've cost as a smartphone game.

It's a fun little game, but whilst the game has obviously been attempted to be designed for the 3DS, unfortunately it simply dosen't work. The layering on the screen and the motion controls have obviously tried to be incorporated to the 3DS' Style, but unfortunately the motion control's become increasingly difficult to use and make the game extremely difficult, and also make viewing the 3D Slightly annoying, as although I can see it, many other's would not as being 13 I would have far better eyesight than somebody of 40 years of age. Despite all the bad points, the general feel of the game is nice, the concept has a fairly new twist, and there's a few things that will make you smile in this game. Of course, there are many things that will make you frown, like the agonisingly long loading time, but despite all it's flaws, for some reason I don't regret the purchase at all. Expand
