There’s nothing that Bomberman Max 2 does wrong, its just that we’ve all seen it before so many times that it’s starting to get stale.
With the game’s inherent frustration factor, Bomberman Max 2 will be a game players return to once in a while and just pick up and play for a little while.
The single player quest is a tad tedious, but still entertaining. A good buy. [August 2002, p.91]
Each version features a unique ending and varying objectives for the game's 100 areas. [Apr 2002, p.152]
A fun adventure game with a decent collecting aspect and a few fun minigames. But compared with meatier strategy RPGs, like Pokémon or Robopon 2, it is difficult to imagine the game keeping anyone's interest over the long term.
Just isn't a very enthralling game.
