Batman: The Enemy Within - Episode 5 "Same Stitch" is a near-perfect finale to an already fantastic series. Storytelling, voice acting, art design, and every other aspect of the series has come together here and delivered one of the best episodes in Telltale's history.
A fantastic finale that raises the bar for story driven gaming. Not only breaking the stigma of choices not mattering in Telltale games, but also giving us one of the most intriguing Joker/Batman stories I've ever seen, the Enemy Within is a must buy.
If you've been disappointed by TTs recent outings this one should impress you. Don't skip it
Telltale’s final piece of content for The Enemy Within is as surprising as it is crazy. And because of that, it’s the studio’s best game for sometime. Expect the unexpected and just enjoy the ride.
The finale to Batman: The Enemy Within is epic, action-packed, and can play totally differently depending on player choice. Dialogue, characters, locations, scenes and even the outcome are vastly altered, and the whole character of The Joker can either be a deranged friend or a deadly foe. ‘Same Stitch’ is a spectacular end to arguably Telltale’s best series, and one that encourages players to replay the entire thing to see how things could’ve gone.
Despite its issues, episode 5 of Batman: The Enemy Within stands tall as one of the very best and most well thought out episodes we’ve ever seen from Telltale.
Episode Five: Same Stitch is a worthy finale. It also has genuine replay value, given its two distinct acts and multiple climaxes. With the focus fixed squarely on its brilliant leads, the final episode makes for a taut, satisfying conclusion, even if I did arch an eyebrow at how my alleged "choices" for the past ten hours ultimately played out.
An exceptional finale based sorely on your choices from the past season and more. Although I've only played one side of the finale I can safely say its one of the best finales and series Telltale has done since Tales from the Borderlands.
PROS
+ Choices mattered
+ 2 strikingly different finales
+ Full length episode 90-105 mins
+ Excellent action set pieces
+ Stellar voice acting especially from newcomer Anthony Ingruber as John Doe.
+ emotional and intense finale
CONS
- Lack of exploration
- Depending on the route some side characters are pushed aside
- No signs of a season 3
Overall - 9.5/10
Change in management clearly effected this one. Telltale's best work since Tales from the Borderlands. A refreshing take on the Joker accompanied by a intelligent study of the character Batman with choices that (actually) effect the narrative in large ways
SummarySame Stitch is the fifth and final episode of Batman: The Enemy Within. The episode will follow Batman as he confronts either Amanda Waller and the Agency or a menace he has helped create.
