I haven’t seen such an uneven game in ages. On the one hand, it has a cool, elaborate character progression system, varied protagonists and sufficiently challenging, nuanced gameplay. On the other hand, the whole thing is generic and crude, its primitive graphics and awkward animations take you back to the PS2 era, and it becomes boring faster than expected. It does capture the atmosphere of the Netflix series quite well though. [03/2021, p.54]

There are also more moves available than your average scrolling beat em up. I wish they'd make more games like this. Expand

Straight off the bat, very enjoyable game. Now onto the review

I find myself in a position where I have to make a gaming apology. Upon the initial reveal trailer for the game, i immediately trashed the graphics, assumed it would be a horrible shallow cash grab game and probably some other irrational statements After spending my first few hours with the game, I find the graphics have grown on me, the voice acting matches the TV series, the game play (beat em up double dragon style not normally my jam) is satisfying while being both rewarding and challenging at times, customisation of skills is good without being over the top, music is good and overall fun factor is 9/10

So I encourage anyone who was on the fence to give it a try. And I will try and not judge a book by its cover as quickly in the future

So I would like it to be known, that I was oh so wrong about this game. A

This is really cheap and average.
