Oct 24, 2021Interesting game, I enjoy autobattlers in general but this got repetitive way too quickly. There was far too much grinding to access anything that made the loops feel different from one another.

Nov 2, 2021Look, I wanted to like Loop Hero. Heck, I wanted to love it. But Loop Hero gets in its own way with a few too many mechanics that never deepen and an overall grind-heavy design that punishes fun playstyles. There's something really brilliant in here. I know because I trudged through a heck of a lot of very-not-brilliant stuff to get to it.

May 26, 2021Loop Hero comes pretty close to being fun at a few points, but it can't decide how much attention it wants, how involved it needs you to be, and whether it is simplifying grinding or needlessly complicating it. As it stands, Loop Hero feels very, very Early Access. The tragedy is that we know it's not.

Mar 11, 2021At a certain point, one has to accept that no matter how pretty the pixels are, there has to more to a game than brainlessly grinding into eternity. Loop Hero isn't even close to fun enough to justify its absurd grind.

Mar 9, 2021Beautiful, original, simple and extremely repetitive and grindy Skinner box. For those who love to kill time!

Apr 6, 2022I wonder if it is possible to underestimate the absence of the Russian language, is it possible to underestimate the absence of any other language in their games?
If it's possible to **** a game over LGBT references, can it be turned against them?
We have become tolerant of intolerance. Or is it different? -

May 2, 2022The most pointless grinding game ever. What's my reward for 3 hours in this game, couple of buildings? Trash

CD-ActionNov 15, 2021It looks like a simple little game, but give it some time, acquire more cards and it will surprise you with its unfolding complexity and addictiveness. Admittedly, initial loops are boring, but ultimately I spent hours on end with Loop Hero and had tons of fun. [05/2021, p.38]

May 29, 2021When it comes to card games, Loop Hero brings a unique and refreshing take to the table. While initially its format may take some getting used to and its graphics may appear simple, the game’s mechanics pack a surprising punch. With cards generating complex enemies, resources, and terrains, no two playthroughs in Loop Hero will be the same. Through this impressive degree of variety and replayability, Loop Hero offers a unique challenge for card game newbies and veterans alike.

Apr 20, 2021Loop Hero is a fresh indie success that’s more interested in your time than skills. Maybe you’ll be able to kill hours upon hours in its repetitive loops. And perhaps you’ll lose your patience halfway through.
