Marco and The Galaxy Dragon is by far one of the best visual novels that I have played to date. Its dedication to character development and story delivery is something that continuously surprised me during each moment of the game. This was only made better by the awesome CGs and voiced audio.

Marco & The Galaxy Dragon is an experimental novel game that implements over 1000 cut-scene illustrations and cartoons. The scenario is not for everyone, and it feels like the creators didn’t dig deep enough in the game’s themes, but stellar visual and audio presentation make me want to recommend it anyway.

An really interesting story concept and fantastic animated cutscenes almost elevate this title into a memorable experience. However, the anime tropes, derivative and forgettable supporting cast and otherwise average writing makes up the bulk of game. This smothers what otherwise could have been a creative and unique story. Music also ranges from wonderful to distractingly open source. Expand
