Despite the absence of a solid continuity with the other episodes, A Portal To Mystery, with its unpredictable investigation, is a fun alternative to the action-adventure routine.

A Portal to Mystery is a brave and light episode, eccentric but well built. Minecraft Story Mode is starting to suffer a bit of fatigue, but this episode seems like willing to show a first attempt to change, which was quite necessary for the series.

Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 6 brings on some YouTube talent that will please their fans, but disappoint everyone else. The central story, which involves a spooky house and a murder mystery, has its moments, but the overall feeling is that this was not the episode that fans waited so long for.

Developers of Telltale managed to cram lots of famous YouTubers into the six episode, but with all the enthusiasm they forgot to make a decent game.

Looking back of all the latest episodes, the plot is rather interesting and nothing bad say about.
But I want to point out some of the things that Minecraft: Story Mode did not deserve to be positive.

One that it is really buggy, I know that it is normal for a game. But seriously, the players keep teleporting around, character disappearing and even subtitles got wrong! I mean subtitles is really easy to write and very important for international players, but why they use translator to translate to other languages? I'm chinese and the subtitle was really bad (all episodes, including this one). It even got some unknown texts in it! The lip-syncing is also the most awful one!

I love Minecraft: Story Mode, but there is also one major point that ruins the game.
Which is the creator company, Telltale.
See, you buy Minecraft: Story Mode "Season Pass" to buy *all* the episodes, but ta-dah! Episode 6 comes out, which is a DLC (or adventure pass to be exact)! And which that needs to pay another 14.99 for this!

Telltale is really quick releasing these episodes, but the thing is that the game was filled with bugs. There's not even a patch or update for now! They just be like "Ohhh let's make another episode!" then made one and doesn't even go through some testing before releasing it. They should also go get some REAL translator for this game, or else all those people who don't speak English will be staring at the subtitles and say "wait what?"

It's not about the game, its about telltale, who is a lazy and "business strategic" people. We want to say if we bought the game, why we need to pay more money to play the next? It's even better watching in Youtube rather than playing it (unless you really love it or want real experience), so save your 14.99. And also, don't be interested to buy the pass because of the Youtubers consisting in the game (or you just got pwned by the business strategic from telltale), you can just go to the channel now and watch them play the game.

I would like to rate this higher, but with the requirement of paying 14.99 for the next three parts, nope!

Overall: Bad animation, lip-syncing and subtitles. Interesting and good story. And everyone hates people who want to get your money by placing "special guests" to make you want to buy the "adventure pass".
