  1. Amarcord operations like this one should be enforced by law: a masterpiece of videogame history is proposed again with new graphics and a new style. All has remained as we remembered, with its ironic strength and its perfection. Simply a myth.

An absolute joy to play once more. [Oct 2010, p.80]
  3. If you haven't played this game when it first came out a long time ago , you should go and buy it right now. And if you have, you should go and buy it right now. It's the best adventure game of all time, period.

Stunning graphics and excellent voice acting. [Sept 2010, p.86]
  5. It's an excellent chance to relive the heady days of the point-and-click adventure, where games were written with intelligence, humour and precision rather than large explosions and endless DLC.
  6. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge is a great addition to your downloadable library. Whether you're an old adventure gamer looking to scratch a nostalgic itch or a shellshocked shooter fan looking for a whimsical break from the fray, this game's meager entry fee is well worth it.
  7. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge is everything fans of the series would expect from a high-definition remake.

The story is engaging and hilarious, the characters are all fascinating, the music is catchy and it looks beautiful. The puzzles remain hard but the introduction of a hint system really helps you when you are in trouble and the ability to swap to classic view is a real treat. The added voice acting and how you are now able to use them in the classic view is also a welcome edition. A must buy. Expand

Overall the game is pretty good, I loved the humor, the characters, the graphics, the music, the conversations, but what I didn't like is that you need to use hints quite often, otherwise you are probably never going to finish it on your own. And I personally don't like using hints, makes you feel stupid. But the thing is that some things that you need to do to proceed further you would probably never guess as they are not too logical, which made me dislike the game quite a bit. Overall, not 100% enjoyable experience but worth the time. Expand
