Lamentum is equal parts frightening and enticing, serving up a scintillating world filled with Lovecraftian horrors and remnants of old school Resident Evil and Silent Hill. It is a must-play for any fans of the genre looking for challenging gameplay, deep mythos, and an alluring narrative.
Amazing graphics featuring a thrilling yet extremely balanced melee combat system, fast paced pubg-style battle royale and ever changing meta with new champions constantly releasing every season, the battlepasses are reasonably priced and the sheer presence of the enourmous quantity of mid to high quality skins is fenomenal in itself, further ado, the game community is thriving and devs take care of their players with regular tournaments, fast and reliable responses to cheaters, world cups and so on, high degree of customization with the in game settings allow the player to fully adapt themselves to the gaming enviroement as soon as possible, without mentioning that battle royale is not the only game mode present, as the devs also released many many others featuring a rogue like, coop pve, free for all, 1v1, fortress siege and so on, the game is also being constantly updated to get the best of the results by reducing bugs and errors to the minimum
With daily challenges and quests that reward you the more you play, Naraka: Bladepoint is shaping up to be game that plans for set up shop and last for a while. No two rounds feel the same, and yet the familiarity of each one makes it easy to keep coming back for more. It’s not perfect, by any means, with its combat system offering a breath of fresh air but also leading to moments of frustration. Still, its emphasis on customization, melee combat, and some robust features turn it into one battle royale experience worth checking out.
Naraka: Bladepoint offers a refreshing alternative to both the tired sci-fi or high fantasy settings and mechanics of familiar battle royale games, with a focus on fast and skillful melee combat and movement that can feel like an awesome martial arts film come to life. But the focus almost entirely on close quarters fighting can grow repetitive and frustrating, too, especially against the much better players that seem to dominate the space. Although it pushes microtransactions past the point of annoyance, they don’t radically impact the game, which is ultimately much more skill-based than that of other games in the genre.
Naraka: Bladepoint does have a lot of cool and unique ideas for the battle royale genre. I love its melee-focused combat, I love the varied weapon selection, and I dig the durability system replacing the "limited ammo" functions of other games in the genre. However the game's longevity suffers due to becoming stale quickly, the lack of variance in the core gameplay loop rearing its ugly head quickly. It's the kind of game I would absolutely recommend to a friend, but only for one or two matches at a time. For long marathon sessions, there are far better options.
Naraka: Bladepoint represents an interesting twist in the Battle Royal panorama, but it falls short in some of the core mechanics. The fluid combat system is great, but it becomes chaotic in more hectic situations. The visuals are stunning and music is on par. The business model is quite aggressive for a game that is not free to play.
Naraka: Bladepoint is an interesting spin on the classic battle royale formula. The combat and movement systems help keep everything feels absurdly fluid; the upgrades and hero customisation help you find a playstyle that fits you. It’s fun, but the technical issues need ironing out before it’s a whole-hearted must-play.
The game is simply brilliant, if you like fast fights in close combat and want a cool movement, this is the game for you. Yes, there is no region lock, but the people here exaggerate, there are now and then 3 Asia players and you can also defeat them. There are ingame purchases but only cosmetic, so no pay2win what many write here. Too bad that such a beautiful game is so badly rated by noobs.
The game is brilliant. Everyone who call it clunky are simply wrong. However 7 is really the highest score I can give this game.
While it is near perfect in every way, it is slightly too complicated. You have to invest an extreme amount of time to understand the very basics. Sure you can buttonmash your way up to gold since most your lobbies will be filled with bots and other buttonmashers but at a certain point you have to learn all combos for your weapons of choice to stand a chance and that is when you face an extremely steep learning curve.
The game is just not for casual players and requires a lot of getting over and dedication to properly understand and play it and the skill curve is wild. For reference a gold player will lose a 1v1 against a platinum player 1 - 20 and a platinum player will lose a 1v1 against a solar player 1 - 20 while in lower elo there isnt really any difference.
Just keep in mind, until youre about 50 hours into the game you have no idea what being good at it means. And after 50 hours when you meet someone who actually knows the combo basics you will feel like you have 0 hours in the game. If you want to spend a lot of effort in improving in a game, this game is for you as its 99.9999% skill based and the skill ceiling is seemingly infinite.
If youre just looking for a fun game, stay away.
It's a verry complicate combat-action battle royal, u can spend hours learning diferent play-styles. But u will get destroyed by the VPN players from other regions, and that's frustrateing. even in Silver 4 u get to play in rank with top 100 players (all of them beeing Chinese with no life). It's fun to play, i don't really got problems with lag or frame-rate. in QP u get only bots ond 3-4 players (Chinese), in rank "only players with more then ur rank" and the rank sistem points are a mess.
Absolutely dead game, installed it 2 days ago, but I play against streamers and guys with Solar rank. Crappy matchmaking, **** balance, wait 5 minutes for a match to start, play 10 minutes
I had fun playing for a while, but the ping started to spike all over the place when I load into a match. It feels like the game doesn't load the entire map from the start or something. My computer is really nice but the optimization feels really bad for this game, even on the lowest settings the game is clunky.
