Princess Remedy is a short, compact game, but I loved nearly every second. The exploration is fun, the combat is exciting, the writing is funny, and the music is great too. On top of that, the game is completely free. That’s right: it costs zero dollars, and due to the minimal graphics, I’d bet you can play it on pretty much any modern laptop or computer. With its short length and its nonexistent price on Steam, it has one of the lowest barriers of entry of any game. Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt is a wonderful game, and I highly recommend it.
I did a full review of this game on my channel, Youngster Skaymore, but it is too long for metacritic's 5000 character limit, so feel free to check it out if you would like to: ****/watch?v=Fq0xsC4pNrE
By the way, I don’t generally use review scores, but Metacritic requires them, so I estimated, but I didn’t give it too much thought, so take that with a grain of salt I guess.
This is SUCH a good game to be free. Princess Remedy may be charming, but don't let her cutesy looks fool you. This is a bullet-hell game with teeth sharp enough to bite you on the butt! I was literally on the edge of my seat, feeling my heart race, as I played through on the Master difficulty setting. Getting owned by hordes of projectiles, only to dive back in with rethought-out strategy never felt so rewarding.
Download. Play. Marry the Apathetic Frog and live happily ever after.
Princess Remedy is a well done little Side Scrolling Rpg Shooter that more people need to be aware of. While the visuals aren't the greatest even for a retro style game, the gameplay is fun and the game has a very low price tag of free! Overall it's not perfect but it's a cute little free Side Scrolling Shooter that deserves to be played by more people. Also last minute addition the soundtrack is a very nice retro style soundtrack.that really adds to the games all ready nice atmosphere.

SummaryRemedy, a recent graduate from the Saturnian healing school, must descend to Hurtland and use her powers to heal everyone from stray ducks to dark lords, and finally cure the ailing Prince Hingst. It's a short, whimsical adventure with plenty of heart(s).
