Scene Investigators demands the attention of a real investigator, with the determination and knowledge to crack cases open. For the patient and studious, you’ll be greatly rewarded for your efforts.
Designed for true crime lovers and some escape room enthusiasts, Scene Investigators is a truly thought-provoking investigative game.
Strong writing and design makes Scene Investigators well worth playing, even if some of the logic and questions don’t pass the smell test.
Overall, Scene Investigators is a perfect game for CSI and The Mentalist fans. It offers lovers of the genre the challenge of analyzing crime scenes with a realistic approach in a way that remains loyal to its concept while also being fairly educational. A rare trick!
That is the main failing of the game. It achieves nothing, it does not positively reinforce the player, it also seemingly offers no achievement or objective to obtain. If the game does not tell a story, does not educate the player in real methodology, does not reward the player in any way, then there is no point in playing it. It is such a shame, because this was a brilliant concept and had the potential to be great. We will no doubt see this game in the free-games category on steam soon enough.
