Okay, so it turns out there are some rumors that turn out to be true. These spooky specters moved in first, and they don’t let anyone forget it. Mysterious runes and clay hands appear randomly while crawling vines sprout in the yard. The sacred candle your Sim lit for safety blows out with barely a wisp of smoke. And no one knows where that horrifying doll came from. As the house gets weirder and weirder, goosebumps rise and scared Sims scatter in a panic-induced terror. Luckily, your Sim doesn’t have to deal with this alone! There’s one helpful friend who’s happy to help: Claude René Duplantier Guidry (the Ghost). This somewhat flirty apparition offers the secrets to serenity. Under his tutelage, learn how to appease the specters ruining a good night’s sleep. Some specters are playful, other mischievous, and a few are downright ornery. If they leave accursed objects behind, try to tidy up and remove them.     Are you ready for a séance? The "Paranormale Phänomene" accessories pack offers all The Sims 4 players the opportunity to connect with the deceased. In addition to necromancy, you can even take a new job (paranormal developer) and hunt ghosts professionally.

    Even aside from Bonehilda's return, there's a lot to like about the Paranormal Stuff pack. It's old-timey horror vibe and new career path are enjoyable and fresh for The Sims 4 – something that's impressive so long after the game launched. Depending on your love of all things spooky, your mileage may vary, but if you're looking to recreate The Addams family in digital form, you can't go wrong.

    The Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff Pack has a lot of potential but needs some tweaking with the emotion buffs. A little more guidance on how to get things set up to be Haunted would make it easier for the player to jump in. The Medium skill is a lot of fun, and the new Paranormal Investigator career, while frustrating at times, is definitely something new and fun to try out if your Sims have been in a rut. At $9.99 it’s worth the purchase, and a welcome addition to the game.

    The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff is a great example of a Pack, it includes some classic Sims dark humour, and increases the challenge of the game by a fair bit if you let it. It doesn’t come cheap, but for the amount of content and the sheer silliness introduced it may just be worth it. The items are maybe my favourite so far with their witchy charm, and the return of Bonehilda is a welcome one. It is a lot of fun, but may be best suited to spooky Sims with a high libido…

    The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff Pack is a nice, niche addition to the game that feels like it should always have been here. It was not obvious on how to start your journey as a Medium, but once you get in you're guaranteed some spooky fun.

    Most of Paranormal’s additions should have otherwise been found in the other similar packs or at the least been enhanced as a stand-alone pack. The grammatical errors encountered didn’t help the pack feel any less rushed, either.
