MachineGames continues to raise the overall level of the Wolfenstein franchise, although it could have taken more advantage of the cooperative and there is excessive grinding.

Wolfenstein Youngblood takes a different approach than previous Wolfenstein installments. Co-op instead of solo-adventuring and a bigger emphasis on exploring. Aside from some small hickups with stealth and enemies, it's a blast from beginning to end.

The Blazkowicz sisters steal the show in a bite-sized co-op FPS spin-off that packs a hell of a punch, further invigorating the Wolfenstein franchise.

It breaks my heart a little to slap a relatively low score on this. Both The New Order and The New Colossus were fantastic reinventions of a venerated gaming franchise, delivering satisfying gunplay with surprisingly touching narrative hooks. Youngblood still has that great feel, it’s just wrapped up in a co-op focused bubble which detracts from the traditional flow of the game.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood disappoints because Wolfenstein 2 was much more than a good shooting game. Youngblood is not. Though there are enough moments where the fast gameplay impresses and the co-op entertains, the game disappoints in almost everything else.

If you're looking for combat, which I imagine most fans of a dystopian Nazi-killing game would be, look the other way. Likewise, if you're looking for a great co-op experience to try out with a friend, prepare yourself for disappointment. And if you do end up buying this game, for the love of all that is holy, please turn on your own music.

People didn't like that it isn't a linear shooter and that it is kind of feminist in its presentation but overall I thought the game was pretty good.
    Pros:
    Great Graphics
    Lots of content to explore
    Loved the skill tree options
I actually liked the different armor types, kinda like Borderlands so why are people complaining?
I loved the sounds of the weapons
I loved the combat, the best of any Wolfenstein game IMO and I have them all

    Cons:
The story and characters aren't nearly as good
The levels were not big enough for an open world game
The lifting doors and elevator loading screens were a bit monotonous
The NPC sis was a huge liability in the major boss fights

Overall the game was very fun IMO though. I REALLY don't get the hate. If you look at the reviews, I think it was review bombed. That many zeroes? Come on, that is absurd.

No maximo, acrescenta.

I am sure the dialog in this game violates some sort of international law for cruel and unusual punishment. The very idea someone got paidI am sure the dialog in this game violates some sort of international law for cruel and unusual punishment. The very idea someone got paid hard currency to write this trash fire is painful to think about.

And this is just the topping for the worst elements of looter-shooter gameplay without any of the actual loot. But hey, there is pay to win items jammed in because of course there is. This is Bethesda after all.

This is nothing more than a lobotomized version of previous games, with a co-op design that will make boss battles the most cringe-worthyThis is nothing more than a lobotomized version of previous games, with a co-op design that will make boss battles the most cringe-worthy rage-quitting experience for Single Players due to a total lack of care on behalf of the devs. The AI is so vapid it will walk the secondary character under the boss and just stand there, forcing you to do similar, die, and then respawn. Of course that means having to replay the last 1-15 minutes of the game. This was the only way they could make it take last 10 hours. So at the end this appears to be a minimal effort mod of previous games as a cash grab to sell micro-transactions which themselves are underwhelming. Avoid at all costs, even on deep discount.

REMEMBER: Click on a review's name to see who is a shill handing out 10s and whom has been doing this for quite some time, and has no reason to lie.
