Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is easily one of the most immersive games I’ve ever played.

The Chinese Room goes back to its roots of digital storytelling, in a slow-paced sci-fi story delightfully quiet and deep. Probably less original than Dear Esther, but a wonderful and amazing experience nonetheless.

Those that chose to invest their valuable time in this 5 hour gem will be rewarded with one of the most compelling experiences in recent memory.

The mystery surrounding the disappearances, and the hearts pulled into the gripping narrative are well-thought-out and beautiful, in an eerie way.

This game would have been stronger if the world was smaller and more outspoken. But, that is just a minor thing, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture is a great game in which an interesting non-linear story is told in a unique way. Very dreamy.

There is no doubt that Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a unique experience. Its problems will probably hamper the experience for some, but visiting the gorgeous English countryside is definitely worth it, especially for the people who have had positive experiences with similar games before.

It's banal and tedious and if your narrative focused do-nothing game wouldn't work as a halfway interesting short story, then it won't be better just because you force people to walk slowly around a wholly un-interactive game space while you drip-feed them unconnected plot points.

I particularly like the fact that the developers have tried something new and different. I find myself continually thinking about it and pondering its meaning. I believe the slow pace is completely appropriate and fits with what I think they were trying to achieve. I can see that it will not suit everyone, especially people who want clear cut and unambiguous answers. However, I believe that ambiguity is sort of the point of the game. I also believe that the players only limited interactivity in the world is also part of the message. Expand

Did itThis game had so much promise when it was first announced. The concept seemed original and the gameplay looked intriguingly beautiful. Did it deliver? Not entirely. Is it beautiful? Absolutely. The score complements the simplicity of its gameplay perfectly and without a doubt it brings in your attention to the narrative. What are we looking at and why is it happening becomes the sole purpose of your exploration. There are frustrating moments when searching becomes tedious, but these moments also bring about breathtaking moments that define the game. I don't love it, but I'm glad I played it. Expand

The story, while interesting to begin with, gradually slips into the depths of tedium over time and by the end it just feels like a "go to point A, go to point B, go to point C" list of things you have to do in order to rid yourself of this nightmare.

This game truly earns the title of "walking simulator". If that's what you're looking for, I highly recommend it. If you're even slightly unsure if you'd like it, my advice would be to avoid it or at least wait until it's *heavily* discounted.

The only problem is, the game that surrounds it, and I use the word "game" loosely here, leaves a lot to be desired. It is more in the vein of "walking simulators," as the internet has taken to calling them, but I wouldn't put it on par with most other games in the genre. The story here starts out relatively interesting, then it gets more boring the longer you play. Without spoiling the game, the story wraps up in an unsatisfying manner. When a game's only selling feature is its environment and story, when one of those doesn't pan out, it really tarnishes the entire thing. I'd recommend checking this game out for the setting maybe when it's discounted in a sale to $5 or less, but wouldn't recommend it at anything more than that. Expand

Maledetti bastardi.

Beh gliela giustifico.
    Ma che cazzo...
