Furi kicked my ass, and I loved it. There was laughter, there were tears, but most of all, there was a goddamned great game. The combat is extremely taxing, but fair, and the narrative is surprisingly rewarding. If you’re a masochist, Furi is the game you’ve been waiting for.

Furi is a brilliant, fast-paced action game that combines elements from the classic Japanese bullet-hell shooters. The combat system is precise, the soundtrack epic and the engine runs flawlessly pretty much always.

Furi is addictive and challenging, a game that push you to the limit but makes you feel rewarded. If you want to test your skills, Furi deserves a chance.

FURI is a great game with it's hardcore gameplay, the great electro music OST, and its nice graphics style. If you hate try 'n' die games, and value great storyline and exploration, you might be better off looking elsewhere.

Furi is an unusual hack and slash about killing bosses. Is it funny? Yes, though is far from a perfect game.

Furi is going to find its audience, that much is certain, but the real shame here is that with a couple of tweaks, that audience could have wound up being far larger than what it likely will be.

An exquisite game which tests the players reflexes, mind and above all PaTiEnCe.

The unique artwork and creative design of the bosses coupled with compatible soundtrack makes this game a must try. I particularly enjoyed boss no.3 which imho is the most creative in the game and was one of the main reasons i continued playing.

Although the game may seem hard or almost impossible at first but majority can be dealt with by having good control reflexes; but even without it, the game can be overcome with sufficient knowledge and proper strategy to counter the bosses's patterns because - come on, there is no way you are still oblivious to the boss's fighting style after retrying several times. This game really makes literal the phrase 'learning from your mistakes'; either that or just rage quit :) but then you'll miss out on one of the best games ever created.

Majority of the comments about this game were circled around its godlike difficulty level and the lack of storyline. Unbeknownst to many, the story had actually been spliced up and revealed gradually throughout the entire game and even within the demeanor/conversations between the main character and bosses. For players who were perceptive enough to navigate the hidden twists and turn of words to deduce the story without referring to the internet would receive a sense of achievement greater than just killing bosses which in my opinion would be the real achievement of the game.

Furi gameplay feels nice because of it's quite innovative because the way you change from gun play to combat feels so good and when you make a sweet dash and slash the boss's throat , you will really feel like a true BOSS!

Masterpiece held down by ridiculous difficulty spikes and poorly designed optional boss.

I loved Furi. Even when I was getting beaten down repeatedly I enjoyed the challenge aspect. The controls are responsive (Parry takes some time to get used to because it works slightly differently than other games, but once you do it's excellent). The bosses are creative and so much more than higher damage/higher health variants. When playing this game you do feel like a badass, without getting bogged down by the RPG elements you may see in Bloodborne/Dark Souls. It's pure action and it's you and your reflexes. The graphics are solid and creative. The characters themselves look alright when up close, but the game looks beautiful from the top down.

What stops this game from getting a 10:
    1. Final phases are really cheap with some bosses, "The Burst" especially. A lot of bosses are extremely fun but lead to a pure bullet hell final phase. Which is fine but in some circumstances the difficulty difference between the first 3-5 phases and the final phase is insane. This is mainly a complaint of "The Burst" but to a lesser extent with "The Song".
    2. My first point would be invalid if not for the fact that, progression in the game has no correlation with boss difficulty. I know you get better through the game but it feels like the hardest bosses are randomly assigned. This is all subjective, as you will get better at the game, but you will feel like certain bosses have difficulty spikes not because of what they're throwing at you but rather "cheapness".
    3. The optional boss is just completely trash design. Feels like a half baked unbalanced idea which forsakes the great and responsive controls for new gimmick controls. Feels like you're playing a new but crap game. This boss is significant to the story, and will tarnish your experience.

All in all, I don't regret playing this game, I loved it. If the bad parts were cut out I would give it a 10.
