    Still the best survival horror, on PS5 ray-tracing and 3D audio add a lot to the atmosphere (though high performance mode is a little iffy). [Issue#17, p.75]

    Capcom hasn't gone to any great lengths with its updated PS5 version of Resident Evil 2, offering fans and newcomers two imperfect graphical modes to choose from. Very speedy load times will have you immersed in a flash, though, and the support for the PS5's adaptive triggers adds another extra wrinkle on top. Resident Evil 2 is still every bit as good as it was three years ago; this PS5 version simply gives you the chance to experience it all over again with further shine.

    An absolute masterpiece of a game. Even if you've never played a Resident Evil game before this is a good place to start. Gameplay is fluid,An absolute masterpiece of a game. Mr. X is absolutely horrifying the first playthrough and still enjoyable to run from after you've beaten the game once. The sound design is some of the best I've seen in horror games, from things going bump in the dark, to the footsteps of Mr.x approaching two rooms away.… Expand
