It really is a remarkable game, and in a year that’s been blessed with way more than its fair share of standout games, I’d put Viewfinder on the same level as any of them.
I am a lover of puzzle games and this one in particular looked very good to me. The main mechanic is that of being able to take a photo and transfer its content to the real world, which seemed impressive to me, a real madness at the level of the revolution that was Portal, I tried the game and without a doubt it has become one of my favourite puzzle games, especially because this innovative mechanic is exploited in excellent ways and the plot has several plot twists that make the game not just focus on its mechanics.
Even though its driving motivation didn’t resonate strongly with me, this might be one of the most refreshingly inventive puzzle adventures to come out in recent memory.
Viewfinder is a puzzle game that invites us to reflect on perspective, optical illusions, and the manipulation of reality. The puzzles are different and presented in an uncommon and innovative manner. The adventure also has a touch of mystery surrounding it, with old recordings hinting at something beyond just the puzzles. It's charming, entertaining, and just challenging enough.
It was an enjoyable experience for those looking for puzzle games. The puzzles aren't too challenging, but they're perfect for those looking for creative, light entertainment. The story has interesting points, but it fails to deepen them enough. This leads the story to clichés. The last part of the game was unnecessarily challenging and confusing. It seemed too exaggerated to me compared to the previous difficulty levels. The end of the story was not satisfactory enough either. But the colors and enthusiasm of the level designs made me enjoy the game overall.
7: Above average - It presented what we regularly see in a different way.
Viewfinder is a small game, both in its proposal and in its **** fulfills the role of a puzzle game, without being extremely difficult,
it manages to keep you playing until the end. Its premise, that of playing with perspective, I would have liked to be explored a little more, I understand that the mechanics did not give more of themselves, but there are certain situations where it was not so much "playing" with perspective as it was trial and error. It is true that I see how things could be solved in different ways, to a certain extent the way to solve the puzzle may depend on how these perspectives are understood. But I miss depth, perhaps greater **** story is about hope, climate change, and how far we are willing to go to save ourselves. It does not go too deep here either. It is a premise to guide you, too much in the style of Portal, already seen many times.
It is a good game, short and one that is appreciated to play. It does not pose much of a challenge and it is good to spend the afternoon with it.
only worth 10 dollar (2:30 - 3 hour long)
cringe dialog, generic story 4 kids, glitches and 95% of the game easy.
-good graphic but repetitive, creative new idea game and last machine was challenging.
SummaryChallenge perception, redefine reality, and reshape the world around you with an instant camera. Viewfinder is a new single player game offering gamers hours of interesting and fun experiences while uncovering the mysteries left behind.
