The racing here is just flat-out fun, with growling engines, jumps and shortcuts that allow you to smash through fences. But there are thoughtful additions, including Party Play.
First porting for PSP and still and awesome work: lot of customisations and many modes to play. It combines many great things between the 2 Underground, adding too some extra music and new cars.

A great game for street racing type games! Has lots of customization, cars (mostly tuners and a couple of muscle cars), and overall a fun game to have.
The big feature missing, which also made Underground innovative, is the ability to draft other cars. Without it, Rivals is just another racing game. Additionally, the Drift mode, which was addictively fun on the consoles, is now water downed to a flat, frustrating way of trying to skid your car in an unfashionable manner.
It just fails to reach the bar set by the best racers on the system, not to mention it doesn't come close to enjoying the level of polish or fun present in the console iterations of Underground.
I will not rate this game as high as the other users. Though, it is a great game with great graphics, nice controls and diversity with its features.......
Good car selection, tuning, handling and graphics. Amazing soundtrack because it‘s from NFSU2. But the progressing is very strange and the game is way too long if you consider to win all the races. It needed more content in terms of cars and track or at least less races but as it is the progressing is not good.
The graphics are very beautiful, the soundtrack is sensational, the game starts extremely well and is addictive, I was really enjoying it, but it only lasts until about half way through, somewhere between 30~40%, which is when I finally acquired your fastest car (any of the last), and you're already in the most difficult races, from then on the game becomes extremely repetitive, with unfair races, absurd difficulty, aggressive bots with cars that run as fast as yours, but they practically don't make mistakes, the races become extremely large, the championships unbearable, the combination of camera + low resolution + framerate + gameplay makes traffic extremely irritating, you crash, but not your enemies. If you've already started, it's not worth finishing, if you haven't started, don't even start.
