PUSS! it's an ideal game for the ones that enjoy challenges and doesn't desist until accomplishment. A simple gameplay that anyone can master covered with tons of craziness and trippy art. But that same virtues can be the biggest flaws for others, specially if you tend to feel frustrated by repetition or "silly" humour is not your thing.
If challenging games aren’t your thing, it would probably be best to stay away from Puss! However, overall, Puss! is a fairly decent game for those who enjoy a challenge, it certainly won’t disappoint.
"I won’t lie. I bought this game initially because I like cats and it looked weird. The trailer made it seem like it’d be a mix of bullet hell and simple mazes, which I’d probably end up hating. In fact, after the initial world, I ended up getting hooked. There’s a surprising amount of variety on offer, with every level being completely unique and every boss being utterly bizarre. PUSS! is not a game for the faint hearted, but it’s less hardcore than you think. At the very least, wait for a sale and give it a chance."

I suppose there’s a kind of compulsion to keep playing a aggravatingly difficult game like this for a while, but I also suppose that for most people that compulsion wears off pretty quick. It’s shape shifting levels means that unlike other hard games, you don’t have the opportunity to learn and master each section, so don’t have the same sense of achievement. I got this on sale at the same time as towerfall ascension, and that kinda put puss in perspective - because it’s clear which game I’ll keep coming back to. And it’s not puss.
PUSS! is an absolute trip and manages to take a bizarre concept and turn it into a solid experience. If this is what the cat dragged in, it’s welcome here anytime.
If you’re after something challenging and, shall we say, different, then PUSS! could well be right up your alley. Its gameplay is simple enough for anyone to pick up, but the difficulty ramps up quickly to outrageous levels. Nevertheless, it remains strangely addictive, and will likely hold your attention for a good while as you pour blood, sweat, and tears into progressing through its levels, inch by inch.
PUSS! is a challenging mouse maze experience, both due to deliberate game design (that's good) and some gameplay quirks and confusing visuals (that's bad). The game will be too frustrating and bewildering for some, while others will enjoy the maddening design and get a rush of satisfaction from completing it.
PUSS! is a punishing pixel-precision challenge wrapped in psychedelic visuals. It feels far too brutal, and the control methods available aren’t always suited to the task. It is a unique challenge, however, for the brave.
Puss, in essence, is a cat, in a moment he is cute and when you try to pet him he shows his nails and tries to bite you! And as much as you know what will happen, you always end up falling into the same trap.
This game is UNPLAYABLE on the switch because the stick co trolled movement is not fast enough and the touch screen to imprecise. I had to delete it within 10 minutes of purchase. AVOID.
