May 16, 2022At first, Lila’s Sky Ark made me think I was getting sick of indies in this style in general, not just platformers. But the more I played it, I realized its weak opening was hiding a real gem. Once you dig into it, Lila’s Sky Ark is full of interesting characters, sweet story beats, and engaging gameplay.

Jun 14, 2022Lila’s Sky Ark is a quirky game that sets out to be different. There’s an interesting world to traverse, puzzles to solve, and many characters to meet, though it can be a little too odd at times. It looks great, though, and if you’re looking for something unique and creative, you’ll find it here.

May 13, 2022Lila's sky Ark is an interesting alternative amongst the indie genre. It thrives in its retrospective references and its intriguing universe, that's for sure, although that does not make up for its serious lack of key gameplay elements and design. Nonetheless it worth a try for some nostalgic trips.

Apr 21, 2022A charming, if simple, Zelda-like full of pot throwing and weirdness, Lila’s Sky Ark will fill a few hours, but fails to really differentiate itself in a crowded modern market.

Apr 27, 2022My first impression of this game was how pretty it was. It’s got a nice sense of style to it, and I love the odd creatures that inhabit this world. My second impression involved getting stuck in a piece of the environment and having to reset the game. My third impression of the game is that while it’s relatively short it somehow manages to wear out all of its tricks well before it ends, and alternates between being boring and irritating in its back half. That first bug wasn’t the only one to rear its head either. There’s something worth getting into here, but there’s just too much dragging the overall experience down.

Apr 24, 2022I wish I could end on a high note, but Lila’s Sky Ark was more creative than it was memorable. While you can beat the game in less than a dozen hours, you’ll probably spend more just trying to fulfill the final mission. And while I did enjoy wandering around this weird world, ultimately some bad combat decisions and a lack of balance hurt my immersion. If you’re a big fan of action adventure and like games just for the sake of weirdness, I’d still give this a shot. For everybody else, this probably isn’t your game.

Apr 21, 2022Lila's Sky Ark is a tiny, little game overflooded with problems. Narratively is not effective nor interesting, visually is bland and confusing. But the gameplay is the biggest flaw that affects this project by Monolith of Minds. It simply isn't entertaining to play nor engaging in any of its mechanics. Everything about this game feels stiff, chaotic and loose. In the end, the only thing that Lila's Sky Ark left us was just pure frustration.
