I've waited an age for a real golf game and, in all honesty, that wait continues. Promises of multiple courses are there but this is a oneI've waited an age for a real golf game and, in all honesty, that wait continues. Promises of multiple courses are there but this is a one course affair at present. It plays OK in handheld mode but many of the features have not much affect - spin etc. Haven't try it in motion controlled mode as yet. Putting can be a bit of a lottery but after a while you can get some breaks. All approach shots are best played a club or two short and hope for a hop and skip onto the green. The power bar is far too slow and no real skill needed to hit the perfect shot most times - get the power wrong? Just cancel the shot and try again.

However, there is some hope here. More courses, some refinement on the power bar and spin etc with enhance this. Online tourneys and career mode - club upgrades akin to Everybodys would be good. Presently a work in progress and not really worth investment at full price. Potentially a great game with some work.

The course you see in the pictures is the only course available, despite the game alluding to the idea there might be more. Game runs poorly, and offers a "speed" mode to run better but it is functionally identical aside from gimping the water effects. Worst part is honestly the motion controls, which while it technically does have, it just gives you a perfect shot every time because it cannot actually detect accuracy. It's doubly frustrating because of the three of us playing, two are left-handed and the game doesn't accommodate that. If you were wondering why the game does not include a preview video, the answer is because the game is so awful to look at that only still images give it any chance of selling.

What you see in the few images it offers is everything it has, and nothing more. Don't spend the money. I would explain the game modes or overall experience, but I'm not going to only because I don't want anyone who reads this review to risk even trying it. Games like this are why I dislike the absence of a return policy or quality control, because this makes me not want to try the other indie titles Nintendo offers when they can be this bad.
