    VSR: Void Space Racing is a one-of-kind racing game that finds itself very welcome in the Switch library. There is simply nothing quite like it; you're wrestling with raw physics as much as your rival racers, and the overall experience is brutal yet incredibly rewarding. Be prepared to swallow your pride in the first few sessions - during which you will be nothing short of a space pinball - and then aim for the stars.

    If you’re willing to get the hang of it, VSR is a pretty cool title, albeit a very small one. With only three ships and eight courses, there isn’t that much content here. Truly, any longevity is mostly reliant on constant retries.

    Smooth and beautiful to look at, VSR: Void Space Racing packs a difficulty curve the likes of which I have never experienced in a racing game. It is best to go into VSR with the mindset that you will not be playing a racer, but a whole new genre. Even with that in mind, I would expect a large percentage of players to bounce off of VSR the same way that my racing ship bounces off of space debris. This is a game for dedicated, patient players.

    What begins as an arduous system to control, in time becomes a pleasure upon first race win, and the hidden depth of VSR: Void Space Racing's frictionless competitive courses is fully revealed. Offering a unique take on the racing genre as a whole, the biggest stumbling block, aside from the steep learning curve, is how little of the game there actually is, track and vehicle-wise, even with the low price-tag in mind.

    VSR: Void Space Racing is difficult to control, and takes a lot of effort to get to grips with. If you’ve got the time, then great – but attention spans are short these days with so much games appearing on the Switch’s eShop.

    VSR for Switch for me, is like if Kerbal Space Program (amazing game, btw.) had a racing mode... kind of!

    It will take you some time to really get into it, but if you do its really fun to play.
    Sadly, there is no online mode (yet?) and as mentioned in some other reviews, the game is extremely short.
    After a few races the modes easy and normal are not too hard to beat. Hard mode will give you some troubles though. But, because (imho) the controls are nice, I won't stop until I beat every single racing track.

    Игра очень странная. С виду релаксирующая леталка, но на деле довольно хардкорная, причём сделано по-дебильному - выбор сложности никак неИгра очень странная. С виду релаксирующая леталка, но на деле довольно хардкорная, причём сделано по-дебильному - выбор сложности никак не влияет на скилл противника, а разрешает больше косячить, пролетая мимо чекпоинтов, то есть на лёгком можно 10 раз пропустить, а на харде 3 раза всего. Пропустить контрольную точку проще простого, ведь она представляет собой обруч немногим больше летательного аппарата, все неписи ломятся и могут тупо выпихнуть, но это не механика такая, а отсутствие интеллекта - они просто летят по рельсам и им параллельно пусть впереди или нет. Точки эти расставлены иногда в интересных местах, но чаще просто раскинуты по космической пустоте и трассы самой по сути нету, у нас просто пару каких-то объектов и вокруг них надо летать по контрольным точка… очень интересно (на самом деле нет)
    Сложность в принципе не высокая и не изи, что-то среднее- надо не тупить и особо идеально не заучивать повороты не требуют. Не врезаясь и сильно не тупя первые разы не выйдет скорее всего пройти даже первую трассу из восьми и придётся пропускать неудобные чекпоинты дабы не тратить время и всех обогнать - это и есть выбор сложности, как выше уже писал. Весь контент в игре закрыт и откроется новая трасса только после выигрывания первой гонки, что может вогнать в ступор, ведь многие привыкли не хитрить, а стараться пройти идеально и что за «ноу-хау» такое вообще, когда можно узаконено срезать?!

    Графика неплохая, физика тоже в норме, не считая столкновений с объектами, когда разворачивает не пойми как и проще перезапустить гонку, чем пытаться развернуться, благо загрузки очень быстрые.
    Каких-то заставок или кат-сцен, как и хотя бы попытки объяснить происходящее нету - просто включается меню, выбор режима, трасса и вперёд. Даже в высере Space Ribbon есть заставка и попытка погрузить в игрой псевдомир.
    Есть аж три транспортных средства, которые отличаются немного внешним видом и всё, никаких статов не написано, а по ощущениям те же яйца… чисто для галочки сделали, чтобы не бухтели купившие:(

    В общем, прошёл все трассы по разу на лёгком, не увидел ничего такого интересного, чтобы пытаться пройти на харде или сходить в онлайн и дропнул нафиг. Это абсолютно безыдейная поделка ради заработка денег или тренировки в выпуске игр. Давали бы бесплатно ради раскрутки студии и вопросов бы не было, а так за неё просили более 500 рублей, когда красная цена 100 максимум!
    Хорошо хоть на распродаже купил рублей за 80 и поиграл час от силы.
    Берите только по хорошей скидке и только если вы фанат таких игр или если прямо вообще играть не во что - в остальных случаях проходите мимо!    … Expand
