  • Summary: LEGO characters from a melding of some of the most recognizable brands in the universe join forces and battle in worlds outside of their own. A Dark Knight, a Wizard, and a LEGO Master Builder traveling together down the Yellow Brick Road is just the beginning.

Overall, LEGO Dimensions takes the LEGO gaming experience to its logical next level – perhaps beyond. [Issue #18 – November/December 2015, p.64]

Lego Dimensions is an interesting and fresh proposal on the market of games with NFC toys because it has unique interactions with the portal. Tons of fan service, an original story and a good selection of licenses are a good starting point to Warner and Traveller’s Tales new IP.

LEGO Dimensions is well worth consideration for those happy to invest in a new toys-to-life platform. The core content of the Starter Pack gives you plenty to do, though tolerance is required for occasionally overbearing in-game promotion of expensive add-ons.

LEGO Dimensions is filled with promise, but the paywalls and the requirement to regularly interact in-game massively impact upon the final product.

LEGO Dimensions feels like the bare minimum required to qualify as a video game in this day and age—it's a shallow, repetitive experience that leans heavily on the appeal of LEGO toys and a dozen very expensive licenses... which probably explains why the $99 starter set only gives you access to a fraction of the total game content.

Dimensions is a patient game. The character levels are open-ended and largely conflict free. They offer a large, generous space where your child can comfortably noodle around and just enjoy themselves.

Portal function without constructing the structure but that's the magic, same as when the game ask you to rebuild a figure, you can trick the game but that kill the experience. Instructions for each figure are include on the game and is so easy to use it. This is the same kind of Lego games but with a lot of universes included!

This game isn't as fun as they make it be in the trailers. Don't buy unless you really really love LEGO.
