There are so many courses, cars and race types in DiRT 2 that it's almost overwhelming to look at your world map. At one point I had almost 30 unlocked, un-played events just waiting to be tackled. It's a dense game with a lot to do, and you'll want to do it all.
  2. Colin McRae: DiRT 2 established itself as one of the best racing games of the year. Jawdropping visuals and an over-the-top care to detail characterize a game capable to entertain both the motors passionates and those of you who are simply attracted by the spectacle of this kind of race. In a period monopolized by clean and shiny asphalt racers, this is a great mouthful of fresh air.
  3. DiRT 2 is a worthy successor to the original, getting practically everything right. While I would have liked to have seen a greater emphasis on more technical rally racing, I had a blast with every aspect of the title. From the solid visuals to the sweet tracks, DiRT 2's got a lot to love.
  4. Dirt 2 is a fantastic racing game which offers great handling, diversity in its various events and a great overall experience. Highly Recommended.
  5. DiRT 2 is honestly one of the year’s best surprises in the sense that it surpasses expectations. The multiplayer this time around is improved by leaps and bounds since it now supports up to eight players competing to cross the finish line. Even for gamers who don’t appreciate the racing genre, there’s a lot of fun to be had in DiRT 2.
  6. Though some parts of the game tend to be frustrating in how poorly they were handled, Dirt 2 is still a good, fun racing game in a genre that's underrepresented on every console.
  7. I really enjoyed playing Dirt 2. It breaks my heart really to give it a low overall score, but you just can't expect people to pay high prices for very little content. In these hard economic times value for money is as important as gameplay.

There is quite a bit of content in this game. And, to rate a game down because it doesn't have as much content as you would like in it is no reason to give it a lower score. Like I said though, this game has plenty of variety as compared to something like Excite Truck, which is still a lot of fun. Expand

No customisation or upgrading, and the tuning is very pointless since it doesn't make a huge difference to how the car feels to drive. You do get **** view, but it's actually more fun in third person. This game isn't like Motorstorm where there's no track, no skill in driving and fake vehicles. It's real cars, real places, real rally drivers and lots of events in single player. Unlike Forza, the events don't feel like a chore to run through because there's not a huge amount. Nor are there long events. It's of the right length and endless more fun online. Must try if you like racing games. Expand
