Overall, DIRT 5 fixes everything that was iffy about the prior entry and does so in a way that breathes new life into the long-running series. DIRT 5 has smoother controls and more versatile framerate options than prior entries have had – at least on consoles – and the addition of non-position objectives helps makes races more replayable and a bit more fun since you may have to step outside of your comfort zone, or more accurately, increase your comfort zone over time, to fully embrace it. DIRT 5 clicks with the player faster than any prior entry and is an absolute must-play for anyone who has loved the series before, or who hasn’t and wants to start fresh. There’s no better rally racer on the market than DIRT 5.

Dirt 5 is an excellent rally racer offering plenty of race modes and car classes to choose from. The Career mode is engaging, and the presentation is gorgeous.

DIRT 5 takes off-road racing to another level. The game is 100% recommended, and comes with Smart Delivery to enjoy it on Xbox Series too.

DiRT 5 feels like a game that is built to showcase new hardware. Still, if players stick with the frame rate mode it works just fine on the last generation as well. I cannot wait to dig in once I get my Series X, but even on One X this game is truly a looker. The game play feels fantastic, it just feels like a game that will showcase better on more powerful hardware.

DIRT 5 on Xbox One isn’t the best DIRT title there has ever been but it definitely deserves a place in the line-up. Just involve yourself in the racing, forget about the faff, and you’ll be sure to have a jolly good time.

Dirt 5 is a content-rich, diverse arcade racing game that is unlike anything else among racing titles of this year. Codemasters’ new direction in the Dirt franchise might not be what veteran off-road enthusiasts would’ve expected. Still, Dirt 5 accomplishes its mission of expanding to a broader audience with engaging arcade-y gameplay, and sets the series off on an exciting new path.

Dirt 5 isn’t at all the game I thought it would be. Far from a clinical rally sim, what it is is a simple, fun off-road racer that has a big personality. While it doesn’t dive too deep underneath the hood, it still tears up a huge number of tracks across a great number of race types—it does more than enough to keep players firmly in the driver’s seat.

I honestly like the game Its a cool fun twist on the rally racing genre

Dirt 5 is probably one of the most fun games i played in 2020

The game take a more arcady feel to its gameplay and i loved that I had fun playing this game

It might look a bit dated compared today's standards and some people would prefere the old rally feeling but honestly if you want the classic feeling, you can play dirt rally, that game is for you

But how ever, i do find the game a little short especially for a 60$ game but its a racing game so what did you expect and also, for a racing game this game has an interesting story and that dialogue you hear from donut media everytime you complete a race is kinda funny and its fun to listen to it and i also i like how the weather changes during the races and these cool locations in the game

Over all, i like this game, i really do

Its a fun racing game and if you're a dirt fan and want to buy this game

Dont hesitate to do so, its really worth it

I’m playing on the Xbox One X and it looks amazing even for last gen hardware. The weather effects deserve a special shout out! At its core though Dirt 5 is an old school arcade game that is a ton of fun and has great vibes and soundtrack. 4 player split screen is also a huge bonus. They really don’t make em like this anymore! Expand

I’m disappointed that there is no steering wheel support at launch. But after 6 hours of play I think I get it. Steering wheel and some modes would be a disadvantage in the vehicle handling model Codemasters have utilised. This is a purely arcade experience. No sim, no simcade. I haven’t played an arcade racer in years. Project cars 3 has a more sim model than this one Graphically at times awesome. Sound and music awesome. Career mode racing average but online racing is satisfying The playgrounds is an awesome idea and has huge potential. Faults include steering wheel, event items are not collected correctly as you complete them. There is little difference in handling model between vehicles of class or even weather and mud. There is a noticeable difference between mud and ice but not difficult you can still drive. There is no reply mode on races. Ultimately the game feels hollow at times but equally I’ve been surprised a few times. I’ve cranked up to very hard mode and it is a challenge. The difference between 1st and last is literally about 4 sec in a race. Codemasters will have the steering wheel support in a month but it may not work on this game. Virtually no one mentions the lack of steering wheel. Onrush worked very well on controller. But we will see if this optimisation come about. Yes it is a fun game. It’s a casual game. It’s not a sim. There is a skill curve which is not immediately obvious Playground great. Driving mechanics basic but ultimately it’s a pick up and go racing game. There is a market for this game in a sea of sim.
