John August
Biography:
John August wrote and co-produced the critically acclaimed Go (1999), which debuted at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival. Since that time, he has written Big Fish (2003), and co-written Titan A.E. (2000), Charlie's Angels (2000), and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003). He has also worked on numerous production rewrites. His earlier work includes adaptations of the children's books, "A Wrinkle in Time" and "How to Eat Fried Worms."
Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, John earned a degree in journalism from Drake University in Iowa and an MFA in film from the Peter Stark program at the University of Southern California. He lives in Los Angeles. John has a weekly screenwriting column on IMBD (Internet Movie Database), in the "Ask a Filmmaker"
