Gotham Knights is watchable for committed fans of the genre or DC completists, but it mostly feels like another test of the franchise’s coattails (or cape tails). Mainly, the show fuels the perception that despite the character’s durability, it’s possible to dip into the Batcave once too often.
With the lone exception of Misha Collins’ Harvey Dent, every main character manages to be bland and uninteresting. The by-the-numbers mystery plot and the meager action scenes do little to take advantage of the rich tapestry that is the Batman mythos.
Better than what critics say, I'm gonna watch the full season. Also it's a show made by network known for making teen dramas, what did you expect y'all?
Gotham Knights is a wonderful addition to the Batman Universe and the larger DCEU. After Batman is killed it's up the the Knights to find out how did it along with the help from District Attorney Harvey Dent. Misha Collins plays the iconic character of Harvey Dent who will eventually become Two-Face. Harvey goes from the hero you want to root for to the tragic villain who you will want to be redeemed. Misha is so skillful with this character. It really shows his phenomenal acting abilities.
The rest of the cast really shines. Olivia Rose Keegan really steals the show and you can see from the start that her character of Duela Doe could potentially be the star here. Turner Hayes, Oscar Morgan and the rest of the Knights bring the love, passion and skill to bring their unique characters to life and keep you hooked and wanting more. Everyone is at their best here.
You can't have a great show without a great crew. Writer Natalie Abrams puts her whole self in this script. Her love of the source material shows. Every write, director and creator put their all into this show. It's a great watch and you won't be disappointed.
sadly after the Batwoman, another Batman related show with none of the known mane characters, and no explanation as to where they are is enough to turn off most comic fans.
