This show never gets boring it just keeps giving entertaining twists and mysteries. The cast never ceases to give stupendous performances especially Viola Davis.
Already in the first episode, How to get away with murder is capable of converting its dramatic qualities down to a secluded whole of impeccable character development and narrative structure, unraveling the vicious storm that's clever enough to match its overboard-ness.
It is finally back! After 7 months, I really needed this show back in my life. The ratings have sunk to a 1.0, a series low, but I want everyone out there who forgot to watch or is still on the fence know that it most definitely does not reflect the quality. The season 4 opener was more about a refresh than about the flash and x-factor. These characters got to breathe for one second, and yes it did therefore give us a slower episode. However, after all the insanity of the last three seasons, they had to find a way to close that chapter, which in my opinion they did very well. The flash-forward of the season is quite weird and not as shocking as previous seasons but I do think that the writers went into this season knowing what it was leading up to, and that's great. And as always, we had exceptional acting by the entire cast, especially the duo of Viola Davis and Cicely Tyson.
Please do try to watch this season live if you can, it needs all the support it can get so that we can even get another season. May this be a good one.
I watch this show for Viola Davis - That is all! I love her, and she's amazing. The show plots and twists are sometimes too much to handle but it is amazing to see the characters growing in to their own now. The acting of others have improved (except Frank and Bonnie and may be Michaela) but the others have shown good improvement. I wish the next season there is more focus on the law side and not much on the emotional one. The plot of Annalise's parents is a dead weight, and should be cut off in this season.
Finally, I would rate this as one of the best TV shows on right now. 3rd Season was a little drag - twists and all were good but was not fun to watch .. not sure what was missing but something was. That missing has found its way now and this season has picked up from where it left amazingly!
Viola Davis, impressive and impeccable as always. It looks like Laurel is going to be an important pillar of this season. Now in season 4 I realized how good the cinematography of the show is. Personally, I think it was kind of bored this first episode of the season, hopefully things will get intense and vehement.
The premise was interesting so I tried the show and had to force myself to finish the first season. Too many subplots and weird personal quirks to identify with any of the characters. From the promos I’ve seen, it’s only gotten worse. Don’t miss it and hope it doesn’t make the transition to syndication. Only sorry I wasted my time on it in the first place.
Should be titled “How to Get Away with Murdering Another Hour Long Drama.”
