It’s goofy and playful, never taking itself too seriously. Personally, I prefer the look of the original series more than the boxy CGI here, but the writing is pretty much the same for this show that was originally planned to air on Nickelodeon.
Stream it if you loved SpongeBob; Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years might have more generic animation, but it retains a lot of what made the original show a hit. But if SpongeBob makes you want to run screaming, definitely SKIP IT.
I remember when Spongebob First started airing, it was a pretty good cartoon, it managed to scratch that Ren & Stimpy itch, while also occasionally being thoughtful and intelligent. I really miss those days. Most Spongebob fans you talk to will probably say the same thing; the series has been in a massive decline, it's the worst it's ever been. Our most beloved characters are now nothing more than shallow, empty caricatures of their former selves. I'll be the first to admit that when I first heard about Kamp Koral I was completely skeptical on the idea, they just completely disregarded the original series and did what they wanted, and the quality of the 3D animation left a lot to be desired.
With that being said, I have watched three episodes so far and while my statement still stands with the animation, the writing feels like it's returning to what we might expect from earlier, higher quality seasons of Spongebob.
There's still certain aspects about this I still don't like, there's changes they made to suit their own needs that I completely disagree with, but this cartoon isn't entirely unlikeable.
I understand fans are upset and I feel like they have a good reason to be upset, but if all you are ever looking for are reasons to be upset, you aren't ever going to find anything else. This isn't the worst Spongebob has ever been, that award goes to season 9, episode 181b, "Squid Baby".
Kamp Koral is disrespectful to the original series and its creator, Stephen Hillenburg. Kamp Koral is dull, humorless and tacky. The animation is horrible it looks like a downgrade of Battle for Bikini Bottom of PS2, it isnt worth it even for young children who can entertain themselves with anything
Ебанное гавно, которое изнасилует ваши детские воспоминания и вашу психику. Сука, здесь всё отвратительно: графика - гавно, сюжет - гавно, на как так вообще забили. Но знаете что меня пиздец как выбесело? Надпись “Created by Steve Hilenburg”. Блять, тот уебан который это написал - будет гореть в девятом кругу ада.
