While the premise and election plotline that follow are flimsy, the cast is clearly capable of handling anything that’s thrown at them. They make Wrecked worth watching.
The humor can be pretty lowbrow ... but the agreeable cast--which includes Rhys Darby from Flight of the Conchords--suggests that all is not you-know-what. [17 Jun 2016]

many people would miss this show because they think oh plane crash on an island so that must mean lost rip off but they couldn't be more wrong. im usually very critical of american tv but this was a roller coaster ride from start to finish this show managed to make me laugh and also feel for the characters although this shows not perfect such as the very predictable plot and jokes sometimes i feel they will grow out of this the first season and come in to their own in the second so overall very enjoyable and hilarious but predictable

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! This is by far the funniest comedy I have seen in decades, if not ever. How, on this Earth, did the 'professional' critics not give this a higher score? I cannot tell you the last time females in a cast deliver such perfectly timed and delivered comedy(aside from Kristin Wiig maybe) and on top of it the guys are hilarious too. What is wrong with people to not give this, even if its not your type of humor AT LEAST AN 8. The entire cast is perfect, I cannot find someone who has not delivered. I dusted off my Metacritic login just to counter the unbelievable score I saw when binge-watching this insanely funny show on Cable(Time Warner shows Metacritic scores). If you have any sense of humor, at all, watch this show and if you are not nearly pissing your pants after a few episodes, nothing can help instill joy into your life. No joke, its that good.

That it’s shot and scored (and much of the time acted) as if it were a drama--not exaggeratedly dramatic, with a wink, but played straight--gives the silliness some substance and makes watching a pleasure.
Wrecked is a decent summer comedy but it takes its sweet time finding its footing. The series doesn’t find its true identity until episode three, well after the initial “Lost” jokes have worn thin.
A number of the characters are actively annoying, and the show’s tendency to have people shout at each other in lieu of supplying briskly paced storytelling or well-crafted jokes becomes wearying.
Wrecked is so unfunny, shrill, and satirically derelict, that the survivor’s desperate need to escape the island is ridiculously easy to sympathize with.
Wrecked is never quite as offensive or simply frustrating as something like, say, The Ranch, but even that thoroughly false comedy had a clear perspective and a narrative trajectory, whereas Wrecked feels--please, please forgive me--lost at sea.
Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords) and Will Greenberg are amazing in this show! Overall, it's really funny. The humour is often not smutty or cheap so that's a big plus. The cast has great chemistry and the acting and cinematography are unusually great for this kind of sitcom comedy.

This is the best lost parody yet cause the jokes and characters are hilarious and I was expecting this show to get good reviews but got mixed and I wanted to change that.

I sat through the first two episodes, with a day between them. I had originally intended to watch the two back to back, but the first one was so tedious, I needed a break.
Maybe my problem with Wrecked is that I never caught on to enjoying the series Lost, and this show looks as if it may be trying to be a parody of that series. Regardless, I didn't find the comedy to be the least bit funny, and the writing level was juvenile.
I'll watch a couple more episodes before I decide whether or not to tell the DVR to stop recording it each week. But, based upon what I've seen so far, I'm hoping, but not expecting, to change my mind.
